35.04 and 2nd place. a very good result for the CD. Brother/Sister duos tend to be marked lower for so-called Romantic dances ... good luck for the OD guys!

:DGoooooorgeous photos ruet - very powerful.
S&J in 2nd place by a confortable margin:

Nicely ahead of Bobrova&Soloviev (would have thought Crone&Poirier would have been 3rd) and 3 points behind Davis&White
I'd like to think they could make up ground and challene for 1st, but Davis&White seem to have become one of the judges' favourite couples over the last year or so, so they should win their second GP on the season.
Nevertheless, silver for S&J would be fantastic and a chance of the Grand Prix Final!
Here's the starting order for the OD:
Warm-Up Group 1 1 Jane SUMMERSETT / Todd GILLES USA 10 24.23 2 Allie HANN-MCCURDY / Michael CORENO CAN 9 26.20 3 Lucie MYSLIVECKOVA / Matej NOVAK CZE 8 27.93 4 Cathy REED / Chris REED JPN 7 28.58 5 Xintong HUANG / Xun ZHENG CHN 6 28.77 Warm-Up Group 2 6 Anna ZADOROZHNIUK / Sergei VERBILLO UKR 5 29.67 7 Vanessa CRONE / Paul POIRIER CAN 4 30.51 8 Ekaterina BOBROVA / Dmitri SOLOVIEV RUS 3 31.72 9 Sinead KERR / John KERR GBR 2 35.04 10 Meryl DAVIS / Charlie WHITE USA 1 38.09

I wonder how Evgeny feels being back in Nagano, scene of his 1998 Olympic triumph?

great job and the picture is great Does anyone know if it was broadcast? because it's impossible to find any vid. About D/W... they have a cool OD and I'm totally in love with their FD, what is really good IMO. So the normal thing is thinking in a silver for Sinead and John

Summerset & Gilles - Looked to be well-matched and in time with one another and to the music. Looked a little slower than what I'll be expectin from the top teams.
Hann-McCurdy & Coreno - enjoyed the Italian theme. Looked fun. They skate a little faster or so it seemed. I'm glad she decided to grow her hair out (a couple years ago I think). Just a random thought. I like it better long. Haha that was cute--they gave shout-outs to their family back home noting that it was late but that they knew the fam was watching.

I'm just patiently waiting for S&J's turn to bring the house down. The CZE team.. will butcher the spelling of their names.. twizzle probs for both; not sure how much that affects the level.. is there an automatic downgrade to 1 if they mess those up since they're required.. kind of like the loss of balance in a spiral seq? I'm kind of thinking 'out loud' but curious if anyone knows the answer. Also not sure what the significance is of the crooked pigtails.. Reeds - Really liked to see how this program has progressed since i saw them practicing it during the summer. They look good. Unison was pretty good, twizzles were great.. really liked the use of fans as props. Also liked the use of traditional Japanese music--definitely not the type we see and I appreciate that!

Huang/Zheng - Greek themed. I liked the colors of the costumes though I was distracted by trying to figure out his shirt.. But anyway, they skated fast, looked good. They could use a little bit of polish here and there on their movements. Looks like they have a tendancy to get sloppy but with fast must that just goes faster, I suppose there is a danger in that! (speaking from experience)
Warmup #2!

This time it is kind of nice to see that Sinead and John don't appear to be preparing for a hoedown. ..there are a lot of different types of costumes! As the skaters left the ice, the camera followed S&J. Good choice. Zadorozhniuk/Verbillo - I'd like a few less flowers on her head and to see more of her face! I sometimes see these 2 practice when I'm in NJ. Lots of energy. Liked the last little lift they did. Interesting. Not sure if it counted for anything but I liked it. They had some fun choreo. Crone/Porier - he apparently was sick last time 'round? Anyway, cliche Tango but I like it anyway! Some good choreo in there. I kinda wish her costume was all black. Oh yes and I thought their footwork looked really good! In character with good edges and power. My thoughts are vastly different when I watch these events at bedtime rather than right after I get up so I hope my thoughts make sense.

I can see some of the spectators are wearing surgical masks. I hope they are wearing them because they don't want to catch anything; not because they're sick!
Bobrova/Soloviev - right out of the gate they were impressive. In some ways it was strange to see them dressed the same but in other ways I think it accentuated their lines and unison. Looked like they had a lot of fun. I always enjoy a Russian Sailor Dance. At the end she reveals she is a 'she!'
Sinead's a sassy truck driver! Of course, without a doubt, their program never fails to be lots of fun! The crowd was clapping along. At the end I saw some spectators standing. Everything seemed to go a bit better than the last time I saw it. I'm curious what lowered their levels in the footwork previously. They look better conditioned and overall things look like they're completed with more ease than before.
Meryl and Charlie looked really good too. Meryl lends herself well to the arms of an Indian goddess. Anyway, they complete everything with incredible ease. It sometimes amazes me how much they can pack into the in-betweens.
So Meryl & Charlie sit 10 points ahead of Sinead and John who sit 10 points ahead of Crone/Porier who moved up a spot and sit a handful of points ahead of Bobrova & Soloviev.
