Joubert stepped out of the quad & fell on the triple lutz. He is in 18th. Ouch ! No one has withdrawn from the Ice Dance event, but Lithuania had a couple but there was Visa problems. They have known about it for a while. It's a shame because they could have given it to another couple. Hope that helps Thanks Maz! That explains things. Bit of a shame though.

I'm glad Evan won the Gold. The look on Plushenko's face was a picture !. I'm not sure though, that Evan winning is a good thing for the judging to come in the ice dance. I think this could be a hard slog for the European couples. I'm expecting to see 2 Canadian & 3 US couples in the top ten. It will be interesting to see where the top two European couples place (Dom/Shab & Del/Sho). John & Sinead may find this a tough Olympics regardless of how they skate. Good Luck. I think they will need it

I think it will be a tough competition for all of the dancers. I think it is pretty hard to predict who is going to place where. I am so excited for the start of the ice dance competition tonight. I want to stay up and watch it but I know I will be tired tomorrow if I do but I also know I won't be able to sleep if I don't watch it!

Soooooo sad about Stephane. Really wanted him to win, or at least medal. Easily my favourite program.
Won't be staying up for J/S, sadly. Best of luck! Just watched Amy Williams do an amazing run to be in the lead of us going into the last run in the women's skeleton bob! Maybe her sucess can inspire J/S!

Great skate, clean, fresh, with a bucketload of personality. 8th place... Not exactly what we'd hope.. but the difference in marks is low, so room to move up I'd say. Loved Sineads dress, awesome!

So happy they showed the CDs here! However, they totally skipped over S&J's k&c and didn't even MENTION the marks they received b/c Tessa and Scott were up next. ..however, I soon got over it after they showed the local news here. I'm in North Carolina for a competition and the local news showcased S&J when talking about the CDs.. I didn't catch the first part because I was blow drying my hair but I thought they couldn't have picked a better couple. There was mention that they were striving to be the best in the world and something about being brother and sister does not matter in their quest. Wanted to add that they seemed to have a good skate and as usual, their edges rock. I wasn't able to watch everyone so I missed 6 out of the top 10 teams and am not really able to comment much. Susie Wynne (I think) mentioned that it's difficult being so close in size because if there's any difference in knee bending timing, it's more noticeable. Here's hoping they can move on up throughout the next 2 portions of the competition!
