Welcome Nadin. If everyone treats others with respect and nobody bashes anyone, either by PM or on the boards, then it all should be lovely jubbly.

Welcome, Nadin! Are you sure you're up for this? If everyone treats others with respect and nobody bashes anyone, either by PM or on the boards, then it all should be lovely jubbly. I hate to be pessimistic, but I think there's a lot more to it than that. The cultures represented on this board have widely different views of what constitutes "respect", especially as it relates to us older people. Unfortunately, I saw a very bad example of this on this board last week. Bashing, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder - and I'm still beholding way too much for my taste, more than a week after the problem was supposedly resolved. Sorry, but I don't see what good it will do to add more rules. IMHO, a total attitude shift is needed before some of us will feel comfortable here again. It says a lot when one of Stephane's biggest fans goes to the Olympics to see him compete, then is afraid to post anything about it because of the way her peers have been treated here lately. Thanks for listening. And yes, I totally expect this post will be deleted. sm

We’ve got board members on the team from various cultural backgrounds and age groups and are perfectly able to identify anything that doesn’t comply with the rules of the board and will take action accordingly. So let's start afresh and please not bring up any closed issues as that doesn't help. Thank you
