;D Fabulous! It is SUCH a thrill and a privilege to be a Steph-fan. He just gives and gives and gives, and I can only thank him. I am excited. John Curry and Kurt Browning had such exciting, interesting post-amateur careers, producing masterful "professional" programs to stand the test of time, etched into skating history. I see Stephane as their True Heir, and expect true greatness that cannot be matched by anyone else. He has going for him something that Curry and Browning didn't: the internet and youtube. Here's to Stephane's inevitable world domination! -- S4

Sally, I with you to that! Well, a new program so soon after such a difficult season is great news! ;D I wonder what it will be like - romantic, dramatic or Hip Hop?

I've got a feeling it might be a fun program, possibly inspired by some of the new moves learnt in Connecticut

Here's to Stephane's inevitable world domination! -- S4 lol at "world domination". Didn't he already do that a couple of times? I was wondering, in the past, does Stéphane announce in advance what the music selection is for a program he is developing? Or, does everyone need to wait until he is ready to perform it? Just curious, thanks.

I've got a feeling it might be a fun program, possibly inspired by some of the new moves learnt in Connecticut I would love such a choice. There was enough drama this year.

There was enough drama this year. same here. we already got In Your Eyes which was such an elegant and heartfelt program so now it would be really nice to see something fun and up-tempo from Stephane solo as well

I've got a feeling it might be a fun program, possibly inspired by some of the new moves learnt in Connecticut I am thinking that his Connecticut experience may have just lit a fire under him too. It could be hip-hop inspired ... or a reaction against the content-lite-ness out there. I do think he enjoyed learning new moves, and that it got his creative juices flowing. Here's to Stephane's inevitable world domination! lol at "world domination". Didn't he already do that a couple of times? True. True! How about I amend it to GLOBAL domination? Of the Second Coming proportions. There was enough drama this year. Quote that! (literally) Seriously, this statement, coming from you ... It deserved a quoting. Now we've sort of flipped our positions; I'm at the moment longing to see more Poeta, Carne Cruda, Blood Diamond, and etc. type of stuff. I've just gotten myself 10 DVDs from Carlos Saura (an acclaimed moviemaker known for his treatment of flamenco, tango, fado musiic, and Goya) and feel all dramatic. I would REALLY LOVE to see what Carlos Saura would do with figure skating. Imagine. Saura + Stephane + Javier Fernandez + Virtue/Moir + Takahashi + Yuna + Mao + (the list of those who've done memorable Latin dance programs can just go on nonstop!) -- S4

I just meant - enough drama for Stephane this year, he got enough of pressure, disappointment and sadness. I wish he could have fun now - he deserves a time out . I think I will always like dramatic programs more - that's my persuasion: I believe the human soul reveals itself more, deeper while suffering, being in pain (just like the human body reveals its structure in a wound better than when the skin is unharmed and shiny healthy). To me it's what the art must be - the mirror showing the debt of our souls, something that we often forget we do have but what is more valuable than any other thing in the world - that there is good in us, in any of us.

And I am totally with you on fun & time out. Let your hair down, Stephane! (and let it get longer?) Yes. Very well put. I sure glimpsed more into Stephane's psyche, post-2008. And through this roller coaster of a season I feel that I have gained a better understanding of him, and I will always be so grateful for this gift of a season because of it, as well as for all his brilliant programs. I am just so proud of him for all that he's accomplished and how he fought through everything.

As Stephane had idea of his new exhibition already in Zurich (he mentioned it in the interview from "Art on Ice", the one which was translated here recently from Russian), it can't be inspired by stuff he did in "Thin Ice". But, maybe he'll still use some ideas/movements he learned there. Me personally I would love to see some hip hop, and something funny and energetic. Hopefully we'll know soon what it is.

I only feel that it's not possible to thank him enough for all he gives us ;D... I wish I could, he makes me smile everyday. cheers I said that I'd love the choice of fun music, but it doesn't mean I like it the most right now. His dramatic programs are marvelous, but it's time for something happier now... I want to see him having fun and smiling BTW, I love his "funny programs" (especially the beginning of staying alive - he and the robe haha s2)

As a new fan, I am looking forward to whatever Stephane brings to the ice. Whatever makes him happy! Love reading everyone's impressions though. I am still learning all that you have been through with Stephane throughout his career. This site and You Tube certainly offer a treasure trove of videos to look at I feel such a visceral connection when watching Stephane's dramatic programs - his interpretations are so moving - I will never forget when I first saw his "ne me quitte pas" at the Vancouver Gala - I stopped breathing when he took the center of the rink and didn't start again until the performance was over. His "fun" programs are also magical and are a very good "pick me up" to watch when one is feeling low (or any time ).
