Thank you for translation, pia. So even less chances we will see new SP? I still hope we will.
By the way, "two years ban" was mentioned in articles only, but I don't think it is mentioned in the actual rules.

2010 Carnival on Ice - Daisuke Takahashi with fluff where stephane is mentioned and shown www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJFqmeiaOQ4Dear Japanese members of the board! Could you please translate what is said about Stephane in the fluff? As for Dai in this programs I liked it more at Dreams on Ice: then he was more expressive and precise in his movements than at Carnival on ice. The programs has lost a half of its charm to me - Daisuke seems to have oversimplified all the moves Hopefully he just wasn't in the mood. But I don't like the new costume - it doesn't suit the program at all.

2010 Carnival on Ice - Daisuke Takahashi with fluff where stephane is mentioned and shown www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJFqmeiaOQ4Dear Japanese members of the board! Could you please translate what is said about Stephane in the fluff? Yes, please?? It looked less expressive to me too. I also thought because it looked simpler. But watching it again, I don't know if it's simplicity. But it had certainly less appeal. I like the costume, beautiful colour and shape of the blouse, but I liked the costume the first time better. So perhaps it's the costume-change that made it lose some of its magic. I heard people said the first costume was too feminine, but I suited the program so much. I didn't think he looked feminine or if he did I didn't mind because it was so beautiful with the music. And yes, there's always the undefinable feel of the day. Sometimes you do all the movements right, but your heart isn't in it, and that shows. Pitty, although I understand a skater cannot always skate at the most possible depth. The moments that he succeeds, are the outstanding performances everybody will remember, like Tell in Korea. Salut, Annelfie

Seems no one post this www.universalsports.com/news/article/newsid=493193.htmlDenis Ten confirm his programs What can you tell us about your programs for the upcoming season?
I changed all my programs for the upcoming season. [The] short program was made by Stephane Lambiel and long program by Lori Nichol. [The] programs are really tough and I hope they are cool, but I'm not going to [reveal] the name of the music until last day [possible]. As for Dai's Amelie ,I love both version and Dai is a slow starter,he always couldn't do perfectly at the beginning of the season, let's wait and see what happend

Thank you nadin and freefall for the links, and gundam for the article! As for Amelie, last time we saw it, it was soon after the week Daisuke spent with Stephane. He must still have stephane's "presence" in his skating. (It's like, if you read a page of Roman Law and start to write immediately, your tone will be more formal than usual.) Now that the effect fades away over time, Daisuke does the program more in his own way. Unfortunately I believe most of us prefer the older version closer to stephane(I mean, this is Lambiel's fan forum lol). So let's wait and see how Daisuke will grow with this program maybe?

For me it is the program, with it I can do step up. I read somewhere, Dai said, the Amélie is difficult for him. In the new Interview (now only german translation, sorry for that) Stéphane told, what he wanted teach Daisuke. It was so interesting and touched.....

Thank you very much for the translation, pianomaya! I am sure this kind of programs is difficult for Daisuke - he is always kind of explosive on the ice and now he must do only a few moves but they are all extremely full of meaning. He managed to do it quite well at Dreams on ice (must have tried really hard) and I felt the mood of it. But maybe it was so good just because Dai knew that Stephane was watching him and badly wanted to be praised afterwards by his "teacher"

Lots of thanks - to Nadin for finding a Carnival on Ice vid, to Gundam - for the good news about Denis Ten's SP, to Pianomaya - for translation of Dai's words! To my mind, Stephane still remains his choreographer, no matter Takahashi chose another SP - his work is visible not only in Amelie, but even more in Dai's new LP. Sometimes it seemed to me the Japanese world champion found it hard not to do the same movements in his Piazzola Tango as Stephane did in Otoco Porteco... Stephane succeeded in introducing some fresh mood into Dai's style without changing it but improving. It looks like a mark of talent to me.

Denis Ten presented at the NHK Trophy his new SP choreographed by Stephane www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFIsqZaeWWs&feature=player_embeddedMy impressions: The choreography is wonderful, bravo Stephane! the meaning of every note is expressed in the movements, Stephane felt this music very deeply, no doubt But: the program seems to be just too demanding for Denis: he does all the movements very carefully, tries his best to express something in them, but he just doesn't feel this music deep enough, doesn't understand it well enough to really make this program look as expressive and as deep as it was meant to be. It's just too much of a program for Ten, he is too young and immature. But Denis is not to blame for it, the blame is his choreographer's - a good choreographer chooses the music and constructs a program for a skater not just in compliance with the skater's wishes and his own taste, but also takes the skater's real abilities and skills into account. In this case Stephane made a program for someone as mature and as skillful as himself, but Denis is far from being at this level yet. So our young choreographer still has to learn to adopt the splendid image of a program in his head when he listens to the music to what a skater the program is meant for can really execute and what he can not. That's why watching Denis skate this program made me feel sad that it was skated not by Stephane - he would undoubtedly make a really dazzling and moving performance out of it. It's such a pity that it's been so long (since NMQP which was created more that a year ago, but there is actually not much music there, mostly the voice creates the atmosphere) since Stephane used such a deep, dramatic, demanding music in his programs. He is after all the best in the world if it comes to interpreting such music pieces. I terribly miss programs like Tango, Carne Cruda, Tosca in his repertoire...
