Thanks, pia. Yes, good news for Italian fans and everyone who's able to go. And for the rest of us too, of course, as we'll get to see videos .

I go watch if my local cinema does that, because they often have connections like that to opera events, or ballet, or plays from all over the world. Perhaps they do this one too !!! Update: I watched but couldn't find it amongst the other opera's and stuff they do in our cinema. It was too good to be true that this would have been in my local cinema. Figure skating is not well-watched in Holland. Salut, Annelfie

The article about Opera on Ice www.bresciaoggi.it/stories/Cultura%20&%20Spettacoli/293337__opera_on_ice_larena_si_emoziona/According to it the show was a big success, Stephane was especially great in both programs and got huge standing ovation. I know that the Italian jourmalists like to exgerate in their articles but 15 thousands viewers in the open arena must have been something ... Did anybody see it? I'm really curious what it was live? (you can write in Italian and someone translates)

Hi guys! I went to the Opera on Ice on saturday evening and must say I really enjoyed it (despite the prices of the tickets sooo expensive). It is surely different to watch a show in the Verona arena instead than in a stadium, it's more emotional and the feeling with an orchestra and the live choir is amazing. Stéphane was without any doubt the best skater of the night (and I'm not saying it because I'm a fan of him! ). The audience absolutely loved him and after the second exhibition there was a very long standing ovation for him!!! Even the orchestra and the conductor congratulated him! The first exhibition was on "La donna è mobile" from Rigoletto: a very cheerful song and Stéphane interpreted it perfecly: he was funny and every single movement suited the music exactly, but this is nothing new from him!! The second ex was the Wilhelm Tell: I had seen it many times already, but it was very good, as usual, despite the small size of the rink wich forced him to skate quite slowly. A lot of jumps and great spins! The crowd was shouting and cheering so loudly that we cound't hear the music! He has been so good even because at the end of the show the presenter revealed that Stéphane had had an injury at the knee the day before the show during the practice... A few videos taken by me: 1st exhibition: La donna è mobile (Rigoletto): www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbTZXiCAF3A2nd exhibition: Wilhelm Tell www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlJjZHNk6fAFinale 1 (Aida): www.youtube.com/watch?v=ss_v31drY80Finale 2 (with Stéphane's spirals! : www.youtube.com/watch?v=NM6623icYnk
