I've wrote this in the thread - 2011 Galas Europe - but here is perhaps more suitable... I bought a dvd of the Fassa Ice Gala, that was on 24 Apr. 2011 in Canazei in Italy. In the dvd there is a massage for Japan by Stéphane (French with English translation). I am aware that there is copyright but it does not make sense if the people in Japan do not get this message. So I uploaded the massage. I hope IDEALWEB.TV has understanding for it. www.mediafire.com/?90bbr0y982ueyxg or www.youtube.com/watch?v=BC8ffT4Gl0EHis message: We are tonight in Canazei for a very special figure skating show. A tribute to Japan. It’s a charity which come from the bottom of our heart. We will do our very best to share with you a moment of joy but also a moment of sadness and emotion cause we feel sorry for what happened during the last weeks in Japan. We would like share this moment with you, give you our energy and everything we can to contribute to make your futur brighter and to forget what happened in the last few weeks. I send you a lot of kisses and I really hope that your situation will get better days after days. I know it will take some time to go back to normal life, but you must also know that we will always be by your side. You can buy the dvd via email. info@idealweb.tv

pianomaya thank you so much for posting his message to Japan and the video. He offered some lovely words of comfort and strength. stephanie2006 the video of Jasmin and Stephane is touching and joyous (plus beautifully edited) and watching it gives me the sense of how patient and warm Stephane was during the skate lesson. His spins and spirals were gorgeous, and Jasmin appeared so calm and happy while learning the moves. I watched closely as he wrapped his scarf artfully around his neck in the video...but still I fail at achieving a neatly wrapped scarf around my own neck. Oh well

Thanks so much, freefall I really enjoyed watching the L'Emission En Direct, I hope I'll get to go and see Stéphane in Saxon. I'm not sure I've got much time in my hands at the moment but I'll try and do my best to translate as soon as I can!

I can't get used to the flow of the program constantly be interrupted by a view of the dancers. Cant they work with a split screen, one half following the dancers (who are interesting too) and the other half following the skater(s). Then you get a total view of both. Now you get no view of either. But it made me realise how much I love the Katherine Jenkins version better than the Evanecence one. The beautiful spin was in it again, though difficult noticable. Speaking of Katherine Jenkins, here a beautiful duet of her with Amaury Vassili: My endless love www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGX1doFGaUMSalut, Annelfie

Now you get no view of either. I agree with you, annelfie - it's a pity they didn't find another way. the video from Shanghai shows skaters even less than the Zurich AOI video though I thought it was impossible for a FIGURE SKATING show

I too love that spin, and in the beginning I didn't quite like the 'Evanescence' version either. But after the Italy show I started thinking that it could be good with more work, and then after 'All That Skate' I was persuaded (by Stephane, of course that I had been right. And now I have to say that I like that version even better than Katherine Jenkins version (although I missed that spin) - to me it seems more dynamic, dramatic and intense. And I really love programs by Stephane that are really intense, not just romantic and lyrical.

Bring Me To Life from All That Skate was something unbelievably strong and convincing for me; it's the only version I really appreciated. ******************** Many thanx to pia for all the uploaded videos! ***** As for the dancers - I agree with annelfie, lauravvv and freefall: if there're so many of them and staging can't do without them, then the show is about to change its title to 'Dancers On Ice'
