The meeting was held two days after Stephane's birthday so they arranged for him a little birthday party hence balloons, the cake and birthday caps.
They also had around 10 minutes to ask Stephane some questions. Usually such meetings are conducted in English but this time it was easier for girls to do it in French:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfZ02gBRYYwAt the end of the meeting they went outdoors and Stephane made a wish while letting the balloons go:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vv_bk6DZvIThe idea was that he will write it on the piece of paper and will attach it to balloons, but he kept the wish to himself, saying that it is safe in his mind. He was pretty serious, took some time to think and only then sent balloons to the sky. I hope his wish will come true.
People in lambiel_ru strongly believe that such special moments with Stephane should be shared with as many people as possible, so that everybody, not only those who were present at the meeting, will be able to feel Stephane's light and warmth.
The only request: if you share these videos anywhere in the net, please, give the link to community: lambiel-ru.livejournal.comTranslation of Q&A- How would you imagine birthday party of your dreams? Is it something from childhood or when you were grown up?
- I remember when I was a child, my Mom always organized parties for my friends from the neighbourhood and for children from school. It was always the super day, we ate cakes, chips, spent some time together, playing different games. These were great days. Now, time has changed, I'm 27. And I don't spend my birthdays as back then. Unfortunately. But I'm still loving... I'm more grown up, and it's true that I travel a lot and I don't have the possibility... For example, this year I spent both Christmas and my birthday in plane, alone. For Christmas I was with flying with my Mom to Japan, and I had my birthday on my way here. But what is important is to feel that your family and friends are close. I got so many messages from my friends and I talked a lot to my family. And this is the most important that family and friends think about you on your special day. and I hope that in a few years, when my life calms downs a bit, I will be able to celebrate at home, with my family and close friends. And I will recall all those holidays I spent, for example, here in Russian or in other countries. And this will stay in my memory, I will keep it all my life and will recall it each birthday. That's why I'm not sad that in my birthday I'm far from Switzerland, because I get so much love everywhere. And I will keep in my heart which will give me strength in future.
- Why your parents gave you your name, Stephane? Were you named after someone?
- No, not at all. My Mom chose the name for my sister, so my Dad chose the name for me. Dad chose "Stephane" because he liked it, he didn't really know the meaning of the word.
- If not Stephane, what name would you have chosen for yourself?
- I think name "Stephane" fits me well. I lived all my life with this name, so it's a bit complicated... I wouldn't want to have another name. I'm glad with my name and with who I am, and I wouldn't want to be someone else and to have another name.
- We like "Stephane".
- Thank you!
- We know that you visited lake Baikal, what were your impressions?
- My impressions are very strong! This is a huge lake and at this time of the year it is covered with ice. Unfortunately I couldn't look inside the lake through the ice. I was told that in some conditions, earlier in winter, you can see the water (under the ice), because the ice is so clear that you can watch through it. Unfortunately this time I couldn't, probably because it's the end of the winter and the ice is not so clear as at the beginning of the winter. But I hope to come back here to see the bed of the lake through the transparent ice. I also could see the river Angara, which flows out of Baikal. It has such a clean and transparent water! There were not many people, the nature looked wild. I really like it! And it gave me strength. It was a very exotic was to celebrate my birthday.
- You share your birthday with Hans Christian Andersen, who wrote your favourite "The Little Mermaid", Giacomo Casanova and Charles the Great. Do you think there is something similar between you and those people?
- I don't know... I don't know them well, I never met them. But I know some other people who were born on April the 2nd. I believe in astrological signs, in character of each sign. I think that people who were born in April, Aries, have a very strong character, but also very sensitive. They are spontaneous, they always have lots of questions. It is something common for all those who were born in April. At least this is my impression.
- Some question which is very important for us all. Will you participate in Ilya Averbuch's project? He mentioned in some interview that he would want to invite you to his next TV project. What do you think about it?
- This would be super! I would like to participate. But I never got any invitation. But why not? I saw many videos, I think he is doing something really extraordinary. There were few very touching programs. We'll see. I wish this will come true.
- My friends saw you at Worlds in Nice. What were your impressions?
- I was impressed by the level of men, the competition was very strong, I think the level got higher than previous year. Very good performances, great programs. Unfortunately I didn't see ladies as I was on my way back, in plane. In men I really liked Denis Ten, the skater from Kazakhstan. I really liked Daisuke, I was always a big fan of his skating. I was also veyr impressed by Brian, he had a strong performance and I hoped that he will do well. Except men, in ladies I was really glad for Carolina, she is the most beautiful skater of this generation. She is mature, she was able to set her mind and so show amazing skating. In pairs I was a little bit upset because of Tanja and Max, especially because their short program. I think that in long program they showed a great performance and thanks to that they were second. Unfortunately, the short program was decisive. Ice dance is my favourite, I liked everybody! I really enjoyed watching it. Ice dance is always so beautiful. They all made an impression, there is always something theatrical, everyone has charisma. You can see more than just technical things, it is a real show time. And I adore it!
- We have some less serious questions for you. Do you love to dream in the moonlight?
- I love to watch the sky! The best is to lay on the beach and to watch the sky, to see the stars. I adore! Also yesterday, when I was on Baikal, I mad so many photos of the sky, because it was amazing, without clouds, excellent! So I adore to watch the sky.
- How many times did you fall from your bed?
- Maybe one or two times. I don't really remember. Sometimes I have a restless sleep, maybe when I dream that I'm skating the program, performing a jump... and then I can fall on the ground. But it was when I was small and I had a small bed. But now I have a big bed so it doesn't happen.
- How many scarves do you have? 100? 1000?
- I don't think I have 1000. But 100 maybe yes. I never counted them, but I think there is 100.
- They are going to open an Ice Palace in Irkutsk, we would love to see you there. Please, come again to Angarsk, to Irkutsk, this will make us very happy. We will cheer for you during the shows.
- It's nice, thank you. I hope to come to Irkutsk. I was told that they open the new ice rink in September. Yesterday, on our way to Baikal, we passed Irkutsk and I saw traditional wooden houses. They were so beautiful! I hope that government, someone will help to people to renovate those houses, because they are really pieces of art, with all those wooden details and everything. You can't let them to be destroyed. You have a very beautiful country, beautiful things. You should save them, I think, it's important.
