Topic in the 2012 Galas in Asia thread swayed, so we created a new thread for this specific discussion. As Reut original posted: I'm a bit surprised nobody cared to post updates here (and I more and more wonder if they are needed at all). Leaving below text in for context, but it is not the topic of the thread ~ MireilleSo from May 26th we had first update from AOI: Stéphane Lambiel:"Thanks all for your support and love"We were just informed that Stéphane has got out of the hospital. He is under medication and is required to rest. Meanwhile, Stéphane is waiting for the complete results of all the examinations. We are sorry that Stéphane has to miss this year's Art on Ice shows in Shanghai. Stéphane asked us to thank all his fans for their support and love. We hope that Stéphane will get recovered soon and look forward seeing him in Shanghai next year. And message from Stéphane on his official Facebook: I am sorry to announce that I will miss this year's edition of Art on Ice Shanghai. I underwent a series of medical tests this week which led to the identification of a minor vascular problem in an eye. With a few weeks of rest, I should be able to keep the rest of my schedule unchanged. I sincerely apologize to the audience of the shows in Shanghai, and hope to meet them again next year. Thank you all for your support.

It's good to have everything in one place so people can find when someone wants it later, even when they use more facebook, twitter etc. these days, it is still conveniant. I wanted to post, but I get busy and lazy too.

I'm a bit surprised nobody cared to post updates here (and I more and more wonder if they are needed at all). Of course they're needed. I think many of us have been moving to other platforms - I do regret that. Though I don't agree with you all the time - I really appreciate your work for this board.

I'm a bit surprised nobody cared to post updates here (and I more and more wonder if they are needed at all). Dear reut, Thank you for the work you do to give us Stéphane news. It's always a pleasure to read your posts. My English is not easy, so I do not post often, but I read regularly. I hope Stéphane will get better soon.

Dear reut and pia ... (and everybody who gives us news on this board)
I have been very busy too in those last weeks and for this did not give my thanks to you all for all you did and do (including also sunnygirl for her very much apreciated reports about All that skate). I apologize for that! And give you my sincere thanks here again!!!
I understand your frustration very much and feel even sad because of that. I have no idea if and how many people still follow this board. As I already mentioned a while ago, I have the feeling that it fell asleep also due to the fact that Stephane himself does not use his journal anymore since over one year, he writes short messages on facebook and that is it. Also his website has no follow up since last october. That makes me believe (or, better: fear) that he himself or whoever wrote follow up's on his website is/are not really interested in the website anymore, they seem to communicate only through facebook or twitter ... what might have a negative impact also to the forum. I regret it because both, facebook and twitter seem "cold" to me and do not permit real "communication" and contact and exchange.
I would miss the forum, it is for me the only alternative to "lambiel-ru" (which I follow with the help of google-translate (or so)).
But for the forum to get more alive again I think that the website would have to be updated regularely again ... and the journal by Stephane himself also.
Besides and very important: I hope that Stephane will be in good health condition soon again, ALL MY BEST WISHES TO HIM!

OMG my message is lost Once again I visited this board a week ago. I prepare for my almost last exam, so I do not follow internet. Thank you that you copy updated information about Stéphane health. I found it yeasterday and I was very shocked This problem can lead to other problems.. I work with people who have problems with eyes.. Hope, Stéphane has his mother by him. If it happened in Korea and he would not have understood the doctors.. I am worried about him think of him and pray for him, but it is probably the only thing that most of us can do I wrote him a message on his webside, but I am not sure, if he is able to read it.. but If I understand well, some of you ladies, are in "real contact" with him or his family,.. If it is true, please tell him to be focused only on his health. Nothing is more important now. I hope his fans understand his situation, because we know, he would "let himself cut" for his fans to be able perform, if it was possible. Now he needs to take care of himself and to be strong to face his problem, not to be sad have doubts about what his fan, sponzors, managers of show, future perfomances in shows.. He is such a favourite talented and appreciated person in figure skating that everybody knows the shows need his performances in future. (I believe) So if you can, please tell to him - use you energy for getting well not for doubts, live at a present moment, as you are used to do Sorry, that I wrote so long message, I only wanted to use this opportunity that maybe some reader of it can speak with Stéphane, maybe not.. If I found out these eye's information earlier than you, I would give it here for sure! Are you journalists? It seems you are online nonstop ;D Thank you for updating and keep fingers for Stéphane Hope to meet you sometimes.. You said you work with people who have problems with eyes. How serious is this vascular eye problem?

I hope too that he'll just take care and don't push himself for the upcomings events, his health is the most important thing Hi and thanks again to everyone

We went a bit to off topic from "2012 Galas Asia", but on the other hand next news will hopefully come from "Dreams on Ice" if Stephane's health allows that, so maybe it is relevant a bit. Welcome everyone who is new or who "came back", thanks to everyone who responded to my "provocation". Of course, I put those words there intentionally. Thanks to everyone who wrote about appreciation and all, but actually it's not about appreciation and not about me (either if you "don't agree with me all the time" or if you do). It's about you and about this board, it's about if you need it. And if you do then you should do something about it. It is indeed convenient to have everything in one place, but nobody told that it should be here, right? We all are "busy and lazy too", believe me I'm maybe even more (lazy ) than you, but if we all use this as an excuse this board will die, as simple as it is. And if we all wait till somebody else will do the job of bringing news, photos, doing translations etc., this board will die. It is almost dead already. And no, I don't think it should have any connection to the "low activity" of Stephane's team on Facebook and official site ( mejokuste, twitter is not managed by them). They always were pretty "not active", but there is quite a lot of news about Stephane even without that.

Thank you, mejokuste We went a bit to off topic from "2012 Galas Asia", but on the other hand next news will hopefully come from "Dreams on Ice" if Stephane's health allows that, so maybe it is relevant a bit. it's true, even if I don't know if I hope to see him already skating in Japan or knowing he is at home resting well, of course the best would be if he is completely recovered in a few days, because this would mean that it was nothing too serious! maybe we could open a new tread to follow news about his recovery, in order not to go off-topic here? I can do it if it's not against some rule Welcome everyone who is new or who "came back", thanks to everyone who responded to my "provocation". Of course, I put those words there intentionally. Thanks to everyone who wrote about appreciation and all, but actually it's not about appreciation and not about me (either you "don't agree with me all the time" or you do). It was here years ago during competitions, it has always been a reference point, so I'd like to help, even if I'm not good finding news

Anna, I think "Articles & Photos" is good enough for all the news, I don't see any reason to open separate thread for "Stephane's health issue", also because hopefully there is no need to emphasize his health condition like that.

I'm a bit surprised nobody cared to post updates here (and I more and more wonder if they are needed at all). For me is this forum very important. I think one of reasons why this forum not alive more, is because of twitter. We get easier informations through twitter. But tweet's live is very short like a disposable plates. I need necessarily this forum because I can find all informations again after long time ago always. Thank you for your all works on this forum.
