It is a long interview, and it mentions many of the usual facts about Stephane. So I will paraphrase/summarize the interview and translate what Stephane said. The interview likens Stephane to a bull, who charges toward his goal no matter what. Then it mentions a lot of the usual stuff. He is called “Prince on Ice”, great spins and jumps, the biggest male figure skating star in the world right now, summary of his career and titles, etc. It mentions his eye problem that he had in May, and that this All That Skate Summer show is the first show he’s doing since that, which Stephane says makes it more special. He says he was nervous to be back on the ice at first after a few months break, but he was able to pull off the performances and that he’s proud to do that. Stephane explains about his two programs in the show. He calls both of the programs very difficult technically to perform, that he had to prepare a lot for them. About the Tchaikovsky, he says the thing we already know, that he was inspired for the program after watching a movie, that it’s a challenging program for him. About Puttin’ on the Ritz, he says he just woke up one morning and thoughts came to him as to how to construct the program. He says the things that were mentioned by the TV commentator, that the program is divided into 3 parts – dreaming about his “perfect” girl, finding her and following her into a night club, and finding that club mood uncomfortable and deciding to dance to his own tune. Then Stephane is asked about his training regimen, how it differs now from when he was competing. He says he still tries to keep a goal in his mind. When he was competing, he trained long hours each day, but now, he does several short training sessions in a day. Because it’s physically restraining to train long hours at a time, and he’s not very young now (and laughs). The interviewer mentions that Stephane seems very innocent and cheerful in person, unlike his charismatic on-ice persona. It is Stephane himself who likens him to a bull. He says he likes “direct and straightforward” animals, like a bull. In comparison, he likens Yuna to a lion and says she is very quiet and calm off the ice, but becomes fiery and expressive on the ice. The interview ends with him mentioning that the Korean crowd excites and surprises him every time he comes to Korea.
