Thanks, I had not found that one yet. It already gives a clearer view of the program. I wrote underneath: First thing I thought was PRSION BREAK (I only recently watched that TV-series on DVD and got hooked on it) (For those who do not know, it's about a guy that gets himself thrown into prison because his brother is sentenced to death but is not guilty. He himself is an architect and had the blue prints of the prison tatooed on his body, hidden in figures. And each time you see that tatoo, it looks like what Stéphane is wearing here :-) ) While watching I think: he's SO familiair with moving on the ice, it's so smooth how he moves !!! Furthermore I am more in love with his drama or jazzy programs, but I love the energy in this one. Some movements are easier to see and study in this video, but it could still be a little closer to enjoy it even more :-) Salut, Annelfie

I have been to the afternoon show of AOI today. The desicion came quite spontanously yesterday night. Actually I did not have a ticket but wanted to try anyway ... and was lucky enough that someone sold hers outside the stadion. If not I guess I would have been "locked out" as the show was sold out, or almost. I can't really give a full overview of it at the moment, just a few glimpses of how I felt about the show. I liked the show, it was less "stuffed" than at other times, I felt I could really watch the skaters, resp. what was going on on the ice this time and was not distracted so much by other elements (dancers, videos, hugh scenery etc). This things have still been there, but less dominant. Maybe it was less "spectacular", but I preferred it this way. The title of the show was "Magic World", and I felt some "magic" in fact. Also because of beautiful lightening, and some performences were dreamlike light-shows (expecially the one with Kristoffer Berntsson and Sarah Meier: not much skating, but wonderful 'magical' athmosphere). There was no real 'opening' with presentation of all skaters as usual, it was replaced by Stephane and Larissa singing their opening song, all in white (as we have seen meanwhile on some photos). And, surprisingly for me, it fit! I did not have this strange and uneasy feeling I had before when I heared them singing. It seemed natural now and they did well in my opinion, professional amateurs, so to say, and in "his" show. It's impossible to mention all the skaters and their performances, they are all great. But personally I have been most touched especially by the soulfull first performance of Tatjana and Maxim, almost forgot to breathe. The whole stadion got awake by Florent Amodio, he really made clapping everybody. Funny: he fell during his 2nd performance, but managed to hide it really well turning it into a kind of spin laying on his back, like a hip hop dancer. Shizuka glided beautifully as ever to a kind of rock version of Swan Lake .... when she ended an akrobatic duo took over and did their slap-stick show to a classic version of swan lake. It was really funny. Savchenko/Szolkovy, Capellini/Lanotte ... liked them a lot also. Stephane?: I am incapable to write something about his programs for the moment. I have to see them first on videos again. I admit, I was almost unable to concentrate on his programs because: I was just blown away - by his presence. Once again and even stronger than what I knew already. How does he do? It's just ... he fills the ice, he seems taller than he actually is. It's not only me having this feeling, I heared this from others. This struck me more than his programs. I roughly just felt that he was very concentrated performing "Paint it black", had some special moves, it was powerful ... but I have to watch it again. I liked the "Run" program. Stephane sang while performing, he was really much into it, nice song ... and I liked his costume, something very new for him, giving a diverse impression. Everybody in the stadion was standing in the end, also because Leona Lewis asked to do so, but I guess also because the show was really appreciated and the ovation deserved. (So much writing, sorry). Oh, and thanks to everybody who has posted videos and photos and links so far !

thx Mejokuste A question! Every year I see the big screens where they show what is happening on stage, but are there showing the skaters on the ice also?

Littleely! I did not pay attention to this so much. I just saw that they showed Stephane on the screen while singing "live your fantasy". But mainly they show the singers, what is happening on the stage, not on the ice. Besides as a part of the scenery they had a kind of photo book in the background of the stage this time, with kind of slide show of every skater, but not about what was going on 'live' on the ice.

What a shame. I love to watch and re-watch the videos to capture every detail and I think live would be nice to see what happens on the ice, maybe with 2 different screens and chooses what to watch? Maybe I'm wrong and I would enjoy equally the show live on the ice ;P Littleely! I did not pay attention to this so much. Thank you littleely and stephanie2006 for the videos!! And mejokuste for your impressions Yes, I understand very well, I had the same feeling at Music on Ice last month.. I was so much overwhelmed *just* by his presence that I hardly could focus on the details, I needed the second watch.. I don't know how to say but it was so strong, he really looked *bigger*. And it was not the first time I saw live, so I was a bit shocked like you Maybe, his charisma is still growing more than we expect..

You are right, littleely, it would help to maybe see details, and to keep it on video as a memory. But on the other hand for the show itself I prefer it the way it is. Because, as I said in my report, if you saw what happens on the ice simultaneously on a screen (or even two), it would distract you from really watching the skaters on the ice. Anna, I am glad to read you have this experience too ... as I doubt sometimes my own impressions in this matter, I am quite a realistic person usually .

Excellent job as always. Thank you. For four minutes I could emerge in the world of pure beauty. I can't say I love the singing here but it's ok and everything dissapears when Stephane dances like this. It's magic, his skating is (saying obvious again but it's still true). Great choice of the song and I love the costume. It's like from old American road movies, sense of innocence, freedom, adventure. It closes the show nicely with 'go and find your dream' theme.
