jomeku, I think I can help you with this. I guess you can try to thank her personally. Other news are less good. Carina contacted me and wrote: "I'm sorry to inform you that the screening of the Stephane's film will be canceled because one festival where the film has been selected requires a world premiere and it will be only in April next year. This is unfortunately not my call, and I'm really sorry." So no premiere next week in Lausanne.

Thank you, reut, for informations! Did Carina tell you more about this festival, where it will take place? As you are in contact with Carina, I hope we will see this film one day, after that festival at least. And thank you, Hill (and reut for info (sometimes things are closer than what one would think )): Yes, that's the banner I meant. SO nice that you do this for Stephane …. and I find it heart-warming to see it. That's why I want to give you a Thank You!

Yes, jomeku, the world is actually rather small. Thank you for the banner, Hill, it was touching to see it. As for the film, I'm actually not sure we will be able to see it, ever... Maybe only those who will be lucky to go to the festivals where it will be screened. But let's hope for the best...

I had a very interesting correspondence with Carina and have her permission to share it with you. When she informed me yesterday about the cancellation of the screening in Lausanne she proposed me to ask questions if I have any. I used this opportunity to ask her a few things about the film. Some of those questions were mine, some were asked by other fans too. The name of the film is translated as "The little prince in the land that passes by". Why? What is this land which passes by? Why does it pass? And how all this is connected to Stéphane? This tittle was thought in order to pique curiosity of the future spectator. So I would prefer not to give an explanation. Because, firstly, I don't have a precise answer, so if I give ONE definition it will probably influence the vision of the people too much. And, secondly, I also prefer to let the spectator think about it and give his own explanation. It's more interesting in my opinion to hear every personal point of view. And finally, maybe what we think about the tittle can change after we see the movie. I can at most give you some words I connect with the tittle: childhood, story, show, passing time, success, dream, territory, origin, culture, travel, etc. I don't want to frustrate anyone, I just want to give the opportunity to everyone to give his opinion. In the film, there is almost no interview or comment. I wanted to capture a part of his life, from my own point of view, of course. I was not filming with a hidden camera but I wanted as much as I could to let the spectator think about what he is seeing without being directed by voice over, for example. And for the tittle I want to do the same. Is there any chance to see this film at all? Are there any plans to make a DVD later?A LOT! It's just a question of time. It's very difficult now because of these restrictions, world première, etc. But after this administrative stuff ends, there will be a DVD probably. And maybe we will upload it to the Internet too (if Stéphane agrees). I googled a bit about it and found your nice intro where you explained the reason why you decided to make this film. I guess this was the main focus of the film? Not the figure skating, his art, etc. I mean would it have made for you any difference if he wasn't figure skater but star in some other field? From our talks I've got a feeling it wouldn't. You're right in a certain way because he could have been a ballet dancer or an actor in a muppet show. But if he was a wrestler or a Formula 1 racer it would not be the same film at all. So the figure skating is the most appropriate field for me to make a film about the topics I'm interested in, like dreams or childhood, for example. Next week Stéphane is coming to Moscow and traditionally there is a fan meeting planned. One of the questions his Russian fans want to ask is indeed about this new film, Stéphane's impressions from it and from the process of the filming. Stéphane saw the film because I really wanted him to be OK with it. But as the film hasn't been shown yet to anyone, we both don't know at the moment what the reaction of the people will be. We are both excited and anxious to discover the reception of the film. So he will only be able to discuss with them the process of the shooting and tell them, probably, how I was almost like a koala completely paste to his ass. By the way I'm myself curious to know about his feelings, we already had a little time to discuss that but it was just after the shooting, maybe now, after these long months he has different opinions, I don't know. * * * Hope Stéphane will have some interesting answers at the meeting. We'll know soon.

Thanks a lot, reut . Sounds intriguing, interesting, gentle. And I am even more curious now to see the film … in a while … maybe … most probably . Great to hear it might be uploaded to the internet or that maybe there will be a DVD of it! And I am glad to hear that there will be a fan meeting in Moscow once again. Wish a very good time to all of you who will be there! I'm also curious to know what program Stephane will skate in Moscow? Will it be a 'usual' skating show at Bobrin theatre or kind of theatre on ice? Soon I will know (I am SO looking forward to see Stephane skating!).

In Verona, if you remember, Stéphane was asked about the programs, he still didn't know. This show includes some famous Russian singers in its cast, so I guess part of the programs performed will be to their songs. Will Stéphane skate his own programs or not we don't know, but organizers already confirmed there will be two programs from him. At least one should be his "regular" one, I think. Hopefully both.

Shine: Nice to see Stephane at future competitions … through banners ! Reut: I was a bit troubled when I watched this 'lockerroom' part because it went through my mind that perhaps this is a moment when - after the adrenalin of the performance has gone - he might feel the aching knees again. Well, hopefully not. My mind goes too far . In any case, how touching it is to feel and see the contrasts.
