More about Opera on Ice from organizers: "With a fusion between Opera and Pop music in symphonic style, figure skating and fashion, great special effects, 'Opera Pop' will be the most euphoric, sensual, romantic and open-minded show you can imagine. Interpreted by Carolina Kostner, directed by Marco Balich, with great champions as Stéphane Lambiel, Pang/Tong, Cappellini/Lanotte, together with international Opera artists and Pop musicians, with a new score, which reinvents the Gala on the ice. A kaleidoscope of sensuality in costumes designed by Ali Mahdavi for Intimissimi, a tribute to the beauty in the crazy love story between ice and fire. Through five dream worlds, in the struggle between ice and fire, who will win? Of course the music..."

Thank you, MaRaMaya, Anna, reut, for the news! I was waiting for news about Opera on ice. Obviously it will be something completely different this year, 'Intimissimi on ice'. A show spectacle with fashion, opera and pop etc … and figure skating. As far as I know, 'Intimissimi' (which is the name of a sponsor of the show?) is a label for lingerie and underwear. Must I imagine that the show is going to be kind of huge commercial for this label (with the skaters skating in 'Victoria's secret' -like "costumes" ? (the wings they would have already, … from the angel of Stephane's 'Ave Maria' last year )). Well, my first reaction indeed was: Ok, not for me this year, I won't buy a ticket. But then with everything you write and MaRaMaya saying that this year the rink might be bigger and in the center of the Parterre … I start to think it's tempting anyway (hoping that figure skating is not just a side activity in this new kind of show). Well, I have time to think about it and wait for even more informations ... Thank you also for the news from 'Piter'! Will the show be on TV again (like Cup of Professionals)? Stephane says that he will soon be in Russia again, without knowing when exactly. Does it mean there will be one more Averbukh- or another show soon? Would be great! Stephane said in an interview a while ago that he intended to skate 'The Water' and 'Grieg' in Russia one day - if I remember well.

Well, I have time to think about it and wait for even more informations ... I did not say that the Rink will be in the center of the Parterre - i don't know that - i just know that this year the rink will be differently positioned and occupy more seats from the Parterre of those of past years (every year for opera on Ice they use to deleted 10 files of the chairs of the parterre - from the normal number of chairs in Arena - for give place to the rink) "They moved the Rink - this year it seems that the rink will occupy most places in the Parterre compared to previous years" I said this Because they tell me directly from the Opera on Ice info - But I don't know how much would be Great the Rink and how will be positioned - I do not know what will consist the change of position - and how will be the final position .........

Thank you for clarifications and site map, MaRaMaya and Yshia!
Actually it looks pretty much the same, except the triangle enlargement in the middle.

Video from the fan meeting in Piter: www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZ8f5zPt8_Ewww.youtube.com/watch?v=MoXe99Ne-AQ (a different angle) Because Stéphane had a really crazy and packed schedule for this visit we were not sure if the meeting will take place and how much time he'll have, so they didn't really prepare questions. But in the end it was a nice short talk, Stéphane explained about his golden blades, intrigued a bit about the show in Verona and mentioned that we will see and learn more from him about special figures soon.

Thank you also for the news from 'Piter'! Will the show be on TV again (like Cup of Professionals)? I don't know, not sure. No, it means he is being polite. And also he has a very vague definition of "soon" most of the time. There might be something in Russia in the autumn, maybe. Also, his summer is already pretty packed anyway. What he meant by "I will see you soon for sure", as I see it, is that he will do his best to come to Russia if any opportunity appears. Yes, he said it during the meeting in Moscow a month ago. But he will have new programs till the autumn, so that is not sure either. He will skate both programs in Kazakhstan at Denis Ten's show.

Just watched … I believe to see it at the very beginning … and at 4.23 min in pianomaya's video from AOI 2014-03-02 afternoon show (he really makes one watch his skating veeery attentively ).

...and we will try to organize the meeting, of course. From what Stéphane said, he really enjoyed it last time at the Arena.
