Great interview. Reut, you always ask such good questions, ones that encourage the people you interview to speak candidly!
I can't watch the Worlds (too busy with end of term coursework right now) but I hope Anna Ovcharova does well. She seems like a sweet girl.

She was great! Thank you for posting that video, reut. I like how much energy and joy she exudes. I was reading a review of a book about creativity written by a curator and art advocate today (http://www.brainpickings.org/index.php/2014/03/10/sarah-lewis-the-rise-failure/) and there was a quote in it that made me think of Stephane: "Mastery requires endurance. Mastery, a word we don’t use often, is not the equivalent of what we might consider its cognate — perfectionism — an inhuman aim motivated by a concern with how others view us. Mastery is also not the same as success — an event-based victory based on a peak point, a punctuated moment in time. Mastery is not merely a commitment to a goal, but to a curved-line, constant pursuit." I think it's safe to say he's achieved both success (with his World titles and Olympic medal) and mastery also...

I don't know if this has been posted yet- There is a documentary film about Stephane called "Le petit prince au pays qui defile" being screened April 24 and 27 in Switzerland. Wondering if anyone will be going to see it? Here's the page with the scheduled screenings on the right hand side: www.thera-production.ch/?section=newsAnd more information on the film here, with a clip and some interesting screen shots (adorable one of Stephane doing a face mask): www.thera-production.ch/?section=film_data&id=17

Thank you, dorothy, for the news about the film! We heard about the film and discussed it here: absoluteskating.proboards.com/thread/5008/autumn-december-2013-articles-photos?page=2But this information about the dates is new (at least for me ). The dates on the link are 26 and 27 of April, if I'm not mistaken. Hope someone can go. Also, today is Stéphane's birthday! It's always so fascinating on his birthday to reflect on the year that passed and to see how much he achieved, tried and created! And this year was truly amazing! His fans created for him a nice present which he shared on his FB with a kind answer: "THANK YOU ALL for the birthday wishes, they go straight to my heart! I look forward to giving back the love on the ice in the year to come!" And AS celebrates his birthday with Anna's photos from Bellinzona, don't miss: absoluteskating.com/photogallery/2014musiconicebellinzona-1.html

Thank you so much for the informations about the documentary, I'm really curious about it. I wonder if maybe it will be distributed later... Hope for it! So interesting the interview too, the pictures with Grütter moved me, I don't know why...
