In the audio, Stéphane talks about the preparations for the show at the rink. They had to re-surface the ice in order to cover the paintings, install the lights, sound system, scene with piano . After he says that he worked with Carolina in Champéry, they had to learn pairs skating figures and find the same rhythm what took them several months. Carolina describes it like this: "I'm a bit shy, when I skate I very much feel the music inside of me, but I externalize it in a different way than Stéphane. So: it was not easy to find the wave on which we could skate with the same energy." At the end Khatia Buniatishvili: "The energy of the audience here will be different than when I'm alone or when recording. Also the energy of Stéphane and Carolina is different and this too will change my attitude towards the work and the perception of the work". ... The video: He skated for the first time in 1992. First costume: (This is the part you particularly asked for, elanor. I hesitated to translate it here, but obviously he told that story already a few times, so ... ) First costume: There was a small show event at Montana, he was about seven. He remembers how he looked at his instructor and told her he needed to go to the bathroom. Her answer was: "No", because his appearance was to come right now. So he entered the ice in his black costume and ... "had to let go a bit". That's how his first show costume got "secretly baptized a bit". He won his first trophy in 1997 or 1998, the 'Coup du Rhône'. First triple Lutz: When he was about 13. First fan: His mother, she accompanied him everywhere and did everything for him, she has been a fantastic mother who sacrificed a lot for her children. The first moments with 'Ice Legends': when he sat with the whole team in front of a white sheet of paper asking themselves where they wanted to start. Everyone got own responsibilities. It was a nice moment: They are friends who are not necessarily into figure skating but he managed to transmit them his passion. The nicest part of the video, in my opinion, starts after 4 minutes when Stéphane (in his 'La Valse' costume) and Carolina rehearse their 'Pas de deux' again. Thank you, jomeku for such detailed translation, I can understand something when he gets asked the same questions (I guess I already know the answers ), but nice to have it clear and with details. I heard the story before but I thought it was about what the costume looked like, it was not what I expected to hear.

ronja,, thank you for your impresions. It's a bit pity they could only have one show, so much work and high quality. I hope it will be possible for the team to do another one in the future. And great for TV coverage, last year I regretted I could see just parts. It's kind of strange when Stephane is shown as a main star while camera crew neglects Mao whose just one of the skaters (that's why the Japanese TV needed to send their own people to Geneva) . Actually during "Le Poème" it was sometimes that Mao was shown and something else was happening on the ice, you could even notice someone passing by near her but only party shown. RTS probably just don't have enough qualification/experience to film a skating show... As for Japanese TV, they mostly used the same video footage (I still didn't have time to see the whole version, compared only the opening), so I guess that't not why this team was sent. Thank you for the video of final bows, you can see the hugs with the cast in the end, sweet. Tania started it. I found fan video of "Le Poème", together with the official one I think it gives better understanding of how it looked like: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRrHKo3QaU0www.youtube.com/watch?v=4q09TJplJE4www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKLUEfaKav8+ Poeta www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRFfJOngxx8

After the press conference while I was waiting for my time for the interviews I talked to a journalist who writes for a Russian segment of swissinfo.ch. It was a really nice talk. He usually doesn't cover figure skating, but happened to be the only one in Geneva who could come for the press conference. He wrote a nice promo article based on what was said during it and during interviews he conducted with Stephane, Khatia and Tania and Max: www.swissinfo.ch/rus/%D1%84%D0%B8%D0%B3%D1%83%D1%80%D0%BD%D0%BE%D0%B5-%D0%BA%D0%B0%D1%82%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%B8%D0%B5_%D0%BB%D0%B5%D0%B3%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B4%D1%8B-%D0%BD%D0%B0-%D0%B0%D0%BF%D1%80%D0%B5%D0%BB%D1%8C%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%BC-%D0%BB%D1%8C%D0%B4%D1%83-%D0%B6%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B5%D0%B2%D1%8B/42104146Unfortunately I don't have time to translate it all now (I think Google Translate should be OK), but wanted to translate Khatia's words as I really loved what she said: "For me they are not sportsmen, that's why I agreed to work with them. Lambiel is an entertainer, an artist, a poet, a dancer, who creates something absolutely new. He can inspire and be inspired. And he has a rare talent: he sees further and bigger, which helps him to create new pieces and change the lives of skaters. Not everyone is gifted with that." I also brought to work booklet and press kit, I will scan things from there and will share them shortly.

Thank you reut! Khatia's words are so true, and I think we all love Stephane just for those things Khatia said.

Thank you, Reut, for all your informations, videos from rehearsals, photos from press conference and the meeting, scans of the booklet . The photos are lovely (and look how Khatia looks at her coffee in photo 2889 ). So nice what see says about Stéphane: "... He has a rare talent: he sees further and bigger, which helps him to create new pieces and change the lives of skaters ...". Well, I am looking forward to learn what will come ... I am glad you could make some short videos of the rehearsals, rehearsals are so entertaining and interesting . ... I uploaded a video of Ravel 'La Valse' part from 'Le Poème', even though shaky and out of focus (again). But still ... : www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0jCcVhiaKc

About next year, well, I'm not sure the rules will change. To tell the truth I have some doubts that I'd want to even if they do... To explain I will need to give some more background maybe. I know, for many fans my life "from outside" looks like magical fairy tale, but it's not really and not always so. I work in a big high-tech company (and I love my work actually ) and we have rather small amount of vacation days per year. Now I need to divide this amount between friends, family (my parents don't live in Israel) and, well, places I want to visit as a tourist and actually see them and not to spend the whole day at the rink. Because what happens when I go to vacation "for skating", I don't see much of the places I visit and also I work very hard. Basically I work, then I go to vacation to work and then I'm back home to work again. I chose pretty tough hobby, heh? With this trip I had to take 4 vacation days which also meant that this week, when all Israel has Passover holidays, has fun and goes to museums which are open for free during these days and various happenings, I have to work. Out of five days I spent in Switzerland I had half a day on Wednesday and a day on Sunday (which was very cold, sometimes also cloudy and rainy a bit), on Saturday it was raining all the day so we could do just a little walk in the old city in the evening. And now I watch the coverage from different sources, I see the reaction and the amount of comments, and I wonder if it was actually worth it, not to have "normal" vacation instead. I had plans to go to Montreux for the whole Wednesday, but then I got interviews' appointments for the first half of the day, so I couldn't, had to cancel this trip. The weather was sunny and warm in Geneva on Friday, so I could spend half a day till dress rehearsal doing something nice, but instead I went to bed at 03:00, woke up at 07:00 and continued working on photos for the album and for the posts on social media till I already had to go to the rehearsal. I actually could have the same media opportunities without posting any photo, or posting just a few, with writing a very small promo article instead of a huge one I did (which took me a crazy amount of time, days really). So why to bother?.. Good question. It's not that those extra efforts were appreciated by, for example, "Ice Legends" team. And it's not even that I got too many comments to the work I did from fans (to be fair I got some really nice ones though! ). I suppose I feel bitter now mostly because I was unlucky about the weather on Saturday and Sunday. And because I have to work now. Maybe later I will change my mind, don't know!

And thank you for the video, jomeku! You got the most beautiful and the most "spicy" part of the story. By the way, in case you wondered about Daisuke's part, I think it was pretty obvious but I still checked this with Stéphane. His explanation to me was: Daisuke is late for the ball where Stéphane and Carolina are dancing. Stéphane sees Daisuke and tries to seduce him, Carolina gets mad, Stéphane tries to explain her that it didn't mean anything serious, Daisuke gets mad and leaves. Carolina doesn't forgive him and leaves. And, well, in the end he dies.

Reut, I hope you know how thankful we are for every word you write and every picture you take and for every moment you've spent at rink or by traveling to shows, writing your reports and sorting pictures and organizing meetings. You're a gem!
I don't know if I can find the right words in english, but I think I can speak for all of us, not just for myself.
