The only thing that I really didn't like was the shape of the rink, I mean beautiful to watch from above, but first rows tickets became the worst ones, they couldn't see half of the scene... I would have been very upset if I bought one of those... It wasn't that bad actually, we were sitting in the V sector inside bend first row and we weren't upset. Sure I would prefer straight borders and it happened that Stéphane "disappeared" for us for a moment during "Nobody's perfect". Bending the borders has like zero additional value for the show and the little platforms for dancers were annoying. Overall the first row is still great because of being so close to the skaters and it's soooo intense. So I was sitting once near the stage and once near the skaters and I said to my friends afterwards it was like watching two totally different shows. Glad you could see well! My friend was sitting in one of the "inside edges" ( ) of the first row, she usually does a lot of great pictures and this time she was kind of desperate, she said during Stéphane number he disappeared so many times that she could take only 5 shots overall. She plans to send a complaining letter to organizers Btw I saw it from the short side this year, and I came to the conclusion that it's my favourite place to enjoy the most of the show.

I was sitting once above their exit to the ice, it was interesting to see some backstage details, like, for example, Stéphane warming up or even Marla doing him physio. So each place has its own advantages. Watching the show by the ice is indeed very impressive, I confirm. But specifically with AOI it's always great to see it once "from above" too, because they sometimes have interesting projections and group numbers this way look different.

I'm glad that you enjoyed your view! And I'm sorry for your friend! As for next year, the same bended layout is unfortunately already on sale. Btw there is no more Sunday evening show, which is not surprising now that they sold less tickets this year.

My friend told me about that moment yesterday! She said the whole arena laughed, he too couldn't pretend that he didn't notice, had a broad smile on his face and then started his step sequence with enthusiasm. I will send her this link.

I doubt my friend was looking at Jessie J as they were in the opposite sides of the rink, Jessie and Stephane, and my friend was obviously looking at Stephane.

Oh, I knew the "I'm a little bit crazy" one, but not the other one "Stéphane. Bruno.Patrick". The latter one could have been written recently, as it goes well with the actual AOI tour: "(…) I'm a public person, because when it's great there's no frontier and everybody is happy for me - and that's great, it's a big happiness. When I do something bad, everybody is sad for me, and I'm sad too (…)". Fortunately during this tour 'everybody is happy for him' so far, and he too, hopefully. May it continue like this in the coming days !! (But actually I wanted to give a hint to this lovely story here: http://instagram.com/p/BBid4ROjiJP , hoping that it's ok? ) Something different: look from where Max Trankov posted this instagram yesterday : http://instagram.com/p/BBireytuVVv And another nice one from today: http://instagram.com/p/BBkCc3xxU9w

Wow, jomeku, you are very perceptive. Probably they indeed went to Champery yesterday? It looked from the 3S Facebook that their students will take part in AOI in Lausanne, maybe they worked on it yesterday there? And, yes, it's OK to share anything I publish anywhere "in the open Internet". I understood, of course, your hint, I was just surprised you follow my Instagram. Back then, in 2009, I was much more active on LiveJournal and wrote a very detailed and long story about my first AOI experience. It is also open to everyone, but in Russian and with slang here and there, so not sure how well Google Translate will do the job. reut.livejournal.com/680323.htmlreut.livejournal.com/680631.htmlAs for the quote from the interview, in a way we got back to this topic a year later, in 2010: absoluteskating.com/index.php?cat=interviews&id=2010lambielaoi1He has this very special talent of making people feel what he feels. So the world is indeed a bit happier place for many people when he is happy, and when he is distressed everyone who sees him is miserable too, just like it was after "Traviata" in Vancouver or after that very unfair judging in Russian TV project.
