Oh jomeku Before I came here I've watched them a few times already and I'm totally mesmerized. Perfection! - this is the only word which comes to my mind. Thank you so much!!! How did you enjoy the show?

Thank you, jomeku, for your video and for Stéphane's page in the booklet. I've translated it with Google Translate, really nice words!
"To the whole skating world Stéphane Lambiel is known as one of the greatest spins' geniuses in the figure skating history. For me, he has the finest blade, and even if he only makes step sequences, he enchants with it all. He drew my attention at his first European championships in 2001 and kept it ever since. I can not tell you how many times his ice art has brought me to tears. Stéphane is what I would call the embodiment of art on ice."
Whose words are those? Oliver's?

No, in the booklet they write that all the short texts for each skater are from Leena Lehtolainen, a Finnish bestseller author for crime thrillers (! ) but who is a passionate fan and expert for figure skating. It looks as if she really was an expert: what she says there about Stéphane is so true (and what she says about the other skaters, too. I find.)

Oh, I know who she is, she is writing on FSU as Finnice. She once had an interview with Stephane (which was so very banal I was surprised to learn later that she is actually a bestseller author good journalist she is not, I'm afraid but I loved what she said) About Javi: my friend says that at the evening show tonight he was fine and skated all his numbers. Probably he indeed didn't feel well this afternoon, I don't know. I'm sorry you didn't see him the way you should have.

Is she the one who published photos for Absolute Skating? If so, will she write a report on Absolute Skating, too, maybe?

Answers about my friend. She is not there from AS, but she sent me some photos as a personal favour, I had to photoshop and edit them and the quality is not the best, but it was nice to have something from the premiere. We'll have there Anna for AS, but I don't know what she is planning, the album only or the report too. She'll probably tell you herself. Of course, my friend loved Stéphane. She is there because of him. By the way she had a chat with him and he said (she gave me permission to write this) that of his two new programs he loves "Gone Too Soon" more and it is more comfortable for him to skate it, he plans to skate it in the future. About his second number he said it is complicated, rich with elements, he feels that he needs to skate it more and to get used to it.

Thank you for translating those words, reut! They really are true and not exaggerated in any way - my completely unbiased opinion jomeku, thank you for the booklet and for sharing your impressions. I can't help feeling, that this edition is really special. But because the videos on youtube were the only source of my knowledge, that's why I was so curious what you think I feel sad that you wasn't able to enjoy Javier's skating but I think he knows what he does. He needs to be careful before the upcoming world championships. It's good to hear that it wasn't nothing serious. Thanks for the info about the new programs, reut. I'm glad Stéphane is going to keep "Gone Too Soon" but now I have a dilemma - what piece I would prefer to watch on KOI - this one or "Take Me To Church" But somehow I'm sure I'll be thrilled no matter which program he choose

Well, in a way "Gone Too Soon" is personal for Stéphane too, he always mentions Michael as one of his biggest idols. I loved the detail of Stéphane repeating some Michael's significant moves before he starts the program, nice touch. I just hope he'll use it with original song, I don't like how "Jackson brother" sings it, I mean Michael sings it SO MUCH better. As for the programs, let's say I'm not ecstatic. At the moment I don't find them unique overall (although there were some interesting and new details here and there) and I didn't have a WOW. I almost never have with Art on Ice programs he has to prepare for the music "chosen" for him, so it's normal. Also I really didn't like the singers, so sometimes without them singing live I might like the programs more in the future. Also, programs which stay, usually get better with time. So I don't give up on them just yet. (I completely fell in love with his AOI 2014 programs only when I saw them live in Kazakhstan, for example) Sorry, for spoiling the overall "feeling high" here, that's why I didn't write anything until you asked. I love both his costumes quite a lot (doesn't happen to me to such extent often . And I think finale was super lovely, funny enough to admit, but it's my favourite video at the moment.

I silly didn't realize the videos were yours, jomeku, so thank you even more for this. And for sharing your impressions with us and translating the words about Stephane.
The performance was confusing the first time I watched, mostly because he seemed to skate past the singing and not sticking much to the rhythm either, then I realized he is playing with the lyrics but the singing made it difficult to follow with weird articulation or the sound on the video or everything together. Later I could see his acting better and it made more sense after reading the lyrics. And there aren't repetitions in the program, it develops with many stops and turns which is harder to follow than fluid flow or repeated parts of refrain. It looks like he plays with the audience too. I don't think the "mistake" at 2.20 was on purpose,it doesn't happen elsewhere, he just didn't know when she's going to start again. :)It must be very difficult to skate to that, singing is, let's say random and spontanous, not all musicians realize that the skaters need to adjust to what they are doing. But Stephane is really amazing performer, I love when he goes all dramatic.

I think I love his mood in "Nobody's perfect", his movements were sharp and he was even a bit aggressive. It was different, I liked to see that side of him. If that programs stays, I think it will get better and maybe less "chaotic" and hard for my perception (maybe when not performed live the song will sound better for me too).

That's why at some point I wrote that "it was a challenge" to skate to this song When I saw the first, short videos from Instagram I was kind of sad and disappointed but after watching the whole program I fell in love with it. In my opinion it is unique as much as Stéphane is. Let's be honest - who else could skate to this music?

When I say "unique" or "less unique" I always compare Stéphane to himself and his other programs. Long ago I stopped comparing him to any other skater. (It's always a challenge to skate to "bad" song )Update: I watched beautiful video from pianomayawww.youtube.com/watch?v=6PEnxzwXRLM (my fifth? tenth? try to get this song...) I think my "problem" is that I absolutely can't connect to the singer and to this song, it doesn't "make sense" to me musically, it doesn't "go" anywhere, it doesn't have flow and logic, hence my "difficulties" with the program. But I really love the energy and the mood - powerful, strong, tough.

Thank you for everyone's thoughts, video and translation. I must admit, I am a fan of Jessie J , and love "Nobody’s perfect" this song so much, when the content is not published, and I so hope that Stephane chose this song, but don’t want him to choose this song, because this song will be difficult to implement (my personal feeling), including singing style from Jessie J, she was always too much freedom to play, so I saw the video for many times, I could feel Stephane hopes to master the rhythm, I agree elanor said, at 2'20 "absolutely not deliberately arranged, I remember Stephane said (fan meeting in Verona), when he slipped" Take me to chouch ", he had issued instructions to the orchestra, he is the boss, but in Art on ice, the band's instruction from the singer, but Stephane can only follow, as he said, “it is complicated”, but he did it, and I believe that after every performance, he will grasp better. In addition, I also like Gone too soon, elegant and beautiful, and I guess when he came to Asia, he will choose this song ~ (Ps. I also like Michael's version)
