yeah, Johhny Weir is not a rival, but Brian..... he had the best season in compare with other skaters, he didn't have injuries and illnesses, which made him so self-confident. don't want to offend brian's fans, but he won the comps this year, coz he didn't have competetive rivals, all of them withdrew. and i guess during euros there will be a real battle between Steph and Brian. GO STEPHY! Well sorry but even if he's really not as good as Steph from an artistic point of view, he's better technically. I saw him in Paris in November and he has improved a lot, he IS dangerous. And don't forget he won the GPF this weekend, beating Oda and Takahashi, who are real competitors. And he's the only one who has done (and can do) 3 quads, this is very important when it comes to the points.

Oda and Takahashi made mistakes, what i heard was that they were not healthy. Brian's quads were not great as well, landings were so deep that he could not make 4T+3T, he only managed to fix 4T+2T with hand , in LP second 4T was two footed and no attempt for 4S at all. I don't mean that they are not strong competitors, for sure they are and can do better than in GPF. But they are not that strong that to be afraid of. If Steph gets his good shape he can beat all of them, even if Brian makes 3 quads. So I still think that the main rival for Stephane is Stephane himself.

Don't forget than Brian was completely exhausted... it was his 4th competition in 5 weeks. He was brilliant in Paris and at the CoR. Well, let's see the good side of it: it Brian is in good shape at the Euros and if Stéphane still beats him, it will be a glorious victory It's the least I wish him

Sarah was the highlight of the two last Swiss Nationals, skating best of all the skaters! I can't wait to see her in Geneva... AND ST-PETERSBURG!!!!!!!!!! I'm so thrilled she won COR and qualified for GPF!!! And she got the bronze medal at the GPF! *yeah* Best european lady congrats to Sarah! Weldone Sarah!!! :-*I'm so happy for her!!! And congrats to Salomé Brunner too !!! ( and all her team of course!) I'm sure she fought for both her and poor Steph there !!! He must be very proud of her! ( And all Switzerland! ) Keep it up for Euros and Worlds !!! ( In Geneva we already offered her roses and encouraged her for the coming compets.! ) She's really nice and full of talent! J.

Plushy says he might (might, might, might!) return next season, but personally I have my doubts. What more is there for him to do in eligible skating? But he loves it, so... maybe.

I'm kind of late on the downloading and update-reading, but all I've gotta say is that Stéph really deserved that standing ovation for his flamenco program, despite the falls and the nerves. He just interpreted the choreography so well...what a natural! Concerning his current situation with the technical aspects, I don't think any of us can really try to figure out what's going on, there could be various factors that we don't know anything about. Anybody who's really good at something will get into little slumps here and there, but they're often gifted with the ability to get out of them as well, no matter how long it takes. We'll just have to wait and see how things go between now and Euros; there's nothing we can do about Stéphane's current troubles with jumps. It's all him for these 6 (?) weeks, and I personally trust that he'll find a way or make one when it comes to improving enough to have a nice fight with competitors, though as swissmiss said, it's harder to get out there and fix your mistakes than it is to apologize for making them. (I know I've done that lots of times, but I've been working on it too ) Anyways, a BIG BIG THANKS to Laury for posting the vids of the two nationals programs among many others! That is just so kind of you!
