Stephane's words, quoting, same source as above: TRIPLE AXEL: It's a jump which I need to work a lot, it remains fragile. As for quad, I've been doing it rather well lately, at practices. Its percentage of success is quite stable.
OBJECTIVE: I must forget my two world titles. I go practicing, thinking of just becoming a world champion. It's a mental work.
GÖTEBORG: I have a special memory from Sweden. During the Euros in Malmö, 2003 (ndlr: 5th place), I had to put my autograph...on the breast of a scandinavian female supporter!

www.lenouvelliste.ch/fr/news/sports/news.php?idIndex=4&idContent=71550Lambiel wants to enchant the public at Worlds Stéphane Lambiel wants to forget that he is 2-time world champion and start his new world conquest anew, from scratch. "I cannot repose now, I need to work", he said at a press-conference in Geneva, four days before flying out to Göteborg for the Worlds. While the Japanese Daisuke Takahashi can pride on his history best score - 264,41 points gained during the Four Continents Championship in Goyang, mid-February, Stephane Lambiel is not going as the favourite to Sweden. When asked about his objective for the competition, Stephane said that winning a third world title (after Y2005 and Y2006) would be "a nice objective". But to accomplish it, "it's necessary to forget that you are already world champion, to forget it in order to fight better. On the one hand, I am proud of these titles, but when practicing, I should be oblivious of that." After his three weeks' galas right at the year-start, the European vice-champion and the bronze medallist of Worlds 2007 has been focusing at practices on working out his force. "My objective is to get a certain margin as regards explosivity, so that I had more energy at the end of the programme in order to avoid the mistakes made in Zagreb." End of January, at Euros, in the croatian capital, he didn't pass a 3+3 combination scheduled towards the end of the programme, and there were some other mistakes. Stephane knows that he needs to perform much-much better in Göteborg, facing, in particular, Takahashi who succeeded in passing no less than two 3A (one in combination) and two quads (one in combination) in his LP at the Four Continents Championship! At his seventh World Championship, Lambiel would like to enchant the public. He will lament his famous flamenco as he is going to present it for the last time at competitions. Stephane is wishful to finish the season in line with his victory at GPF in Turin, end of December, where he won over Takahashi and by a very narrow margin. The overall record of the Japanese does not really blow Stephane's mind. The same effect produces the announced return of Plushenko for Y2008-09: "I was not really shocked at Takahashi's performance. In Asia, they tend to give plenty of points, and the other skaters also received very good points." As for Plushenko, who is said to have put on extra kilos which are no good for the arabesques, Stephane wishes him "bon courage". In Goeteborg, Lambiel will perform his SP on Friday, March 21, and LP on Saturday, March 22. "Nothing is impossible!", Stephane says.

Thanks to all for the translations! it's very helpful...appreciate it! I think Stephane sounds positive...he knows what he needs to do in order to try and win. Well, he said the 3A is "fragile"...we all know that...can't really expect him to perfect that jump in a relatively short perioid of time...we just have to hope and pray he has success with it at Worlds. As for the Quad...it sounds like the jump is going well for him, so that's good! maybe we'll see him attepmt 2 quads in the LP! It's funny...this morning some of us were talking about a lack of news, and BAM! suddenly here it came!

In those articles there were few expressions they all quote that I couldn't understand. Maybe someone can help me with explaining or/and translating? Thanks!
"envie de marquer les esprits sur ce programme" (also "Lambiel veut "marquer les esprits") "d'acquérir plus de marge au niveau de l'explosivité" (also "d'avoir plus de marge au niveau de l'explosivité")

Reut, it's not an article, it's a small box to the right of the page, kind of a column, titled La parole au Valaisan marked red
As for your questions re explosivité and marquer les esprits, the latter is easier. It means, imho, to "leave a trace (positive) in the minds of the people", so that it stays in memory for long. The first one bewildered me too. I can't see what it has to do with endurance and force. Hopefully, the native speakers will clarify.

It's funny...this morning some of us were talking about a lack of news, and BAM! suddenly here it came! Exactly Yesterday I thought: Joubert and Takahashi have already said something about their preparation for Worlds, I would like to hear some news from Stephane too. And suddenly it's "news explosion" - many new articles. Leana, thanks for the translation.

And suddenly it's "news explosion" - many new articles. Well, actually no so many different articles. The all are saying almost the same. But that was nice to hear from Steph that he is in a good mood. Even if it means nothing.

Ok, maybe I exaggerated with "many articles" . But I'm glad Stephane is selfconfident and wants to win. It's always nice to hear positive things from him.

He looks rather tired on one of the videos. Well, maybe he was just tired from all those journalists.

Thank you everyone for all the good news!! In those articles there were few expressions they all quote that I couldn't understand. Maybe someone can help me with explaining or/and translating? Thanks! "envie de marquer les esprits sur ce programme" (also "Lambiel veut "marquer les esprits") "d'acquérir plus de marge au niveau de l'explosivité" (also "d'avoir plus de marge au niveau de l'explosivité") reut, with the first expression Stéphane is saying that he wants to strike people's minds (English expression?), to make an impression, he wants people to remember his performance. In other words, he doesn't want to go unnoticed As to the second expression, it means that he has a bigger margin as regards "explosiveness" (the capacity to suddenly liberate all his energy e.g. for jumps or footwork). I don't know the exact English term for it. I hope that makes sense...
