I got some mens protocols, and it seems I and many others were wrong about Tomas and it seems it was a 3f-3t LOL, I was too tired and too excited I guess...but still he got a plus1 (damn keyboard) on that and also on the 3lz, alltogether he got 3.5 points from GOE only and many level 3 and 4 spins

Tomas bombed so I'm not very happy...(and neither was he) tried 4t but fell and it was downgraded and ofcourse he messed up the axellll...I already sort of knew it in warm up as it wasn't going very well and after that he had to wait for 30mins, that's too long (I wasn't happy at all about him skating last!) in warm up he doubled his quad twice and then landed it "a la olympics", and his axel attempts were not super either so bah. Then when it was competition a lot of things went wrong, he fell quite hard twice and I was worried about him, wondering if he didn't hurt himself. After the axel (he fell on) he of course messed up the loop, it was to be expected I think...oh well, better next time... atleast Lou was happy with one of my toys (for tomas, but she got it eventually)

It seemes to me that Tomas is falling too often in the competitions I don't know whether it's because he still has not completely mastered all the jumps in his practices or because he is just cracing under the pressure or because there is something what distracts him form concentrating on his performance (like the exams he is going to take on Monday as somebody /Daphne?/ mentioned in the guestbook) . Last year I didn't care too much about his falls when I first saw him skate at the Europenas beacouse I was just excited about his artistic merit and because it was obvious he had the potential to improve and succeed at the international level . I thought a clean performance would just come later. However, I was waiting for such a performance at the Olympics, later at Worlds then at the Czech test skate, at Nebelhorn and now in Wienna ... and it didn't happen . If he wants to make the first six at the European Championships, he has to find a way how to skate two clean programs, be confident and believe in himself He is still waiting for his breakthrough and if he doesn't live up to the expectations of the Czech Figure Skating Association, he is going to have a lot of trouble I think ... the officials lay their hopes on him This is not to reproach him but to say that I'm scared for him ... I do wish him all the best

I'm sorry the LP didn't go that well, but, Tomas is not the only one who falls often. I think he is the only one who knows (and maybe sometimes even he doesn't?) what's the cause of those failures. But he has improved a lot in last years and hopefully he's going to continue. Second place is a great result (what we would give for a second place finish few years ago, huh? ) and I wish Tomas all the best and luck in next competitions! (and he's having an exam on Monday? So on that one too! )

being a skater, I have to say that while making programs a lot of things pass through a skater head and it's not always easy to keep the concentration, over all throughout a whole program...moreover, we're only at the beginning of the season and not always everything comes easily... then, he has improved a lot since last season under every aspect, over all for jumps...if you have a look at his practises everything will be clearer!!! we have to say the from training to competition many things change(I can prove it! ) and falls can come... then, there are a lot of skaters that have come to podium in these years skating programs with a lot of falls...now, it's always better skating clean, but i don't think we have to criticize tomas for having fallen twice...he's not the knind of skater who always fall!!! GRATULUJI TOME!!!

Dear Ery, I absolutely agree with everything you said Remember that I am not critisizing Tomas for the two falls in his free skate in Wienna. I do know that sometimes things may go wrong even though everything is OK the rest of time ... I just say that over the past year I've been watching him he made several mistakes including falls in at least one of his programs at every major competition ... As long as he has ambitions to finish around 6th at the Europeans (and I do think he has), he must avoid these mistakes. That's it. It's not just about his performance at Karel Schaefer ... This is the way I see it. I do not want to be nasty And I would definitely prefer saying only nice words I am his fan too , after all. What I say is just a feedback for him and I'm sure Tomas would agree with me deep in his heart, don't you Tomas? Anyway, I wish him smooth practices, all the best at school and of course good luck at Grand Prix in Canada. I'll keep my fingers crossed

i think Tomas is such good as he is...he is a skater but a person too...and as everybody he has mistakes too. if he can do it what he wants, sure he will do it...and i beleive that he can do it, so he will do it and i think the main thing is not that if he is on podium or not...in my opinion there are a lot other skaters who are better for me than some of those who are standing on the podium, because they are 'perfect' ...for me it's more important when i see that they're passionate and enjoy what they do...i see they love this sport, and they don't do it because they wanna be the first always!! (i won't tell any examples )

hey girls I perfectly agree with the two of you and my post didn't want to be an answer to someone in particular, but only my own thought... anyway, I trust Tomas blindly and I'm sure he knows what he wants and he'll do everything to reach his aims!!! Ery
