I agree on that and I must also add that those who support and believe in someone and have great expectations- demands from him/her should also know how to be patient and wait... Maybe Feds mistakenly tend to put deadlines to their athletes, maybe not, we don't know that for sure, but we as fans and supporters shouldn't place any deadlines inside our minds... He didn't skate clean this time either, he might not skate clean at all this season and still achieve good rankings -- or maybe not, we can never be sure... But we believe in him and there's a reason why we do so -- and that reason definitely isn't because we are convinced that by Worlds 2007, let's say, he'll have managed to steadily skate clean or anything similar. Of course we're sorry he didn't keep the first place in KSM, of course we're sorry he fell twice! But if we want our support to have a positive effect, we should be the first ones to think positively... So let's not be afraid for him or for anybody else... These fabulous guys and gals we so much admire for what they do on ice have enough fears and insecurity on their own. We are here and wherever we can be in order to cheer for them and convince them that they can do it, even when things go wrong. We are here in order to think positive for them even when they can't do that for themselves... I don't think Tomas is disappointed by the result, I can very well imagine him celebrating his silver medal and go for higher goals in the coming comps! So let's think positive, shall we?

I think he was dissapointed and not happy at all, especially shortly after the freeskate...but then he also said what he usually says, that he will try to learn from this and do better next time, better now than at Skate Canada hm? Wednesday he's leaving for Oberstdorf, so then he will have a few days to fully concentrate on training and skate canada and I hope it will pay off... but Ambrosia, I must say you wrote very nice words and I thank you for your post It is frustrating sometimes to see him fall often, but with or without the falls I still enjoy his skating a lot and I just keep the faith and keep on cheering etc. some day it will come... oh and I think his spins have improved and I like the new version of the LP even better than the old, something I did not expect actually, but it's true xxx Dee, live from Prague

It makes sense to be sad he didnät manage to keep the 1st place, sure, but I hope he also realizes what a progress he's made! Two comps this season so far, he's won gold in one and silver in the other! And usually the beginning of the season is a bit awkward for all athletes anyway! He did make mistakes, as it seems from the scores, but I really-really hope his disappointment lasted shortly, just as short as it takes to realize that next time it'll be better! Fingers crossed for Skate Canada! Dee, thank you for your live response from Prague! Hope you're having a nice time!

He drew last? WTF happened? and no trips nor falls on the footwork, either! (I know I should be listening to English grammar, Dee, but we have a 10 minute break )

Sorry for not writing earlier, but things are crazy here Tomas was amazing in Vienna...Of course, he messed up in the LP, but overall, in practice and also the Sp, he was amazing...such a joy to watch and so much better than all the other skaters! And it must have been something about Friday 13th because during the SP on Thursday, all the skaters gave such quality performances...and then a day later they all fell all over the place Tomas wasn´t the only one who had trouble... Girls, keep your fingers crossed for him, Skate Canada is only 2 weeks away

You've all writen great words, I have to agree! It's only beginning of the season, the biggest things will only come and Tomas can succeed. And he needs to feel the support so that he can do better and better! So Good luck in Canada!
