in Switzerland?
I am thinking of taking a little trip to Switzerland around Easter time. And yes, I am shamelessly coming to the boards to ask for any advice or tips from those who live there, or who have travelled there!
Any places that are must-see? (Or must avoid? lol) Tips for hotels? Rail/ public transport? i wouldn't be staying very long, and would likely concentrate on Geneve, Lausanne, Berne (thereabouts). The whole of Switzerland will have to wait for a day when I have deeper pockets!

I've been twice but have no tips other than to have a map (although it did me no good as I can't map read to save my life) and be able to talk French, which is also pretty suspect (moi). The rail transport is wonderful. I was very impressed. Love the place, want to emigrate.

hey hey! I'm sorry it took me so long to answer, I'm just too busy at the moment. A good online place for maps is www.swissgeo.ch (unfortunately there are only french and german versions of the site, but you can either enter an address or click on the little map of Switzerland) And the swiss railroads site (which are very good most of the time!) is www.sbb.ch/en/index.htmIs there anything in particular that you still need to figure out? I'm not that good at giving "global advice" (especially since you seem to have figured out your "route" already), but I'd be glad to help with specific details if I can.
