... He died. ...
What do you think about this, I think, GREAT Church leader?

May his soul rest in peace.
I was raised as a Catholic, but I'm not into religion and haven't been in a church for a long time (except for a couple of weddings and funerals), and I disagree with some ideas that the Catholic Church has been defending these past few years, but I really admired John Paul II for what he represented - that ideal of a better and peaceful world. Thinking about it, I actually considered him more as the "symbol" for peace than as the leader of the Catholic Church, and in that way I'll miss him. I was always amazed to see how much strength, courage and hope he was bringing everywhere he was going - even when he was sick and tired.
Now I'm really curious to see who will be the next Pope. In the divided and violent world we now live in, I think the choice of the new spiritual leader of the Catholic Church could become an important "political" choice and have quite some effect in some countries.

I think the same... and hope, that it will be very good, not just good choice.

Since I was and am being raised very catholic (welll, my parents are from poland so that's natural) and my parents and I really admired him he's is in all my prayers and thoughts... I am so happy we got the opportunity to met him once last year, he's such an amazing person and someone everyone can look up at. May his soul rest in peace! I know he didn't want the people to be sad but for me this will be hard...

No catholic here and didn't agree with many principle things he/the catholic church represented or said, but still wished him a peaceful end...

Today in my school every class didn't have lessons. At first, we had a meeting on the gym and after that we went to the church... and when they turn on the copy of Pope's speaking I couldn't hanged on. I started crying... before that my friends were crying too and we have supported each other and we were praying all together. It was just beautiful.
