Hmm I totally agree with the previous statements...Watching Tomas's skate today i thought he was not there mentally. I didnt see the fire, and yes he was behind music all along the steps... I hope he can perform better tomorrow

Well tomorrow atleast the pressure should be off, because he's in 5th and when Chan withdraws in last anyway, so what is there to lose. Kind of like a worlds 2007 situation and we know what kind of LP he skated there OTOH, he really should learn how to handle these kind of situations.... I mean what at Olys? the pressure will be even bigger... but OK, maybe I am drawing conclusions too early, he might even have a good excuse for this. (though then I doubt we will get to hear it but OK)

Well, the good thing about being a Verner fan is that nothing becomes shocking anymore... :-P It is sad that this SP was so secure last year, and now it's become quite the opposite... BUT... 1) He is only 5 points away from the podium 2) Sometimes he follows up a horrible short with a phenomenal long 3) If he finishes in sixth place, he is sixth out of over 30-40 male skaters who competed in GPs Good luck to him for tomorrow. Not all is lost! p.s. I love how M Huth shot him in the K&C.

Now I saw the interview and seriously, Europeans in Korea... that's too far away for me to attend! But what I would like is that more Japanese and Korean fans would come to attend Europeans. They are so adorable and they know how to cheer !! BTW, on FSU is posted that Patrick chan did NOT withdraw! It is said however, that Brian injured his back in practice and at this point it's unsure if he will compete!

It seems that homepage doesn't work out abroad, it's only for Korean. I was a just short interview with Tomas and a reporter after the short program. I'll just write that. R: How do you feel? Tom: I think I could go with more power in my expression and interpretation of the program, the mistaken the first quad didn't give me anymore confidence, then was hard to skate, but I think I have to more on power back on the ice and put more expression on the program. R: There are a lot of Korean fans, how do you feel about that? Tom: They were incredible. I thought we were in the ice hockey match when we entered the warm-up and they called my name and they just started to scream. It's nice, it's a great feeling. If this would be possible I would like to skate Europeans in Korea, but it's not possible, unfortunately. R: What's your plan for tomorrow's free program? Tom: Well, there is no changes. I'm gonna skate my program like the both Grand Prix series, I don't plan to do anymore quads, but I'm looking for the best, I mean, clean performance, this is the goal, clean program. R: Thank you. Tom: Thank you.! ps: I think Tomas was not a good feeling after the performance, nevetheless he showed Korean fans the pleasant actions with his coaches in the K&C, we were very pleased and touched. Good luck to Tom!

PBP from Hedwig on FSU: 4toe df 3lutz-3toe not a good landing 1 axel pop 3sal another 1 axel 2loop popping right, front and center 3lutz-3toe- that was good thinking. After popping the axels he is allowed to repeat another triple 3flip-2toe trips in the step sequence
Different mistakes from previous GPs. He seemed a bit lost. He'll be 4th at worst because he's ahead of Chan and Brian withdrew.

I know this has probably been brought up before, but why doesn't Tomas get a sports psychologist? I read that Carolina and Annette Dyrt had one funded by the German Fed.
I don't blame him for having difficulty focusing... skating is so much more difficult than it used to be and the CoP makes skaters start thinking like human skating calculators.
