I wish I could have your same positive thoughts about Carolina, too. But I think the men's field is different : there is an awful lot of very strong competitors and don't forget Takahashi is going to come back in 2010. You are right it's important not be in the spotlight towards Vancouver and this is especially true with men. I'm a bit sorry for Evan not winning the Olympics but maybe a World Gold at home is more special For the ladies and Caro it is different..it was very important to be constantly close to Mao and Yu Na in pre olympic Worlds and like this,...oh well I'm super disappointed. I hope the Oberstdorf guys will have a different strategy next year. I think it is more important to get in shape sooner.

you think? I am just afraid that if they get in shape sooner, they will lose it at the most important moment of their careers....

I think Thomas should be on 3 place. ;D Instead, Brian .... Thomas skated better. In both programs .... It is my opinion. You may not be correct.

Haha, LOL! ;D It was a very good achievement of Tomas to end up on the 4th place, because at worlds there are more tough rivals than at euros... But we all know that Tomas is the best!! But anyway, eleonorad mentioned that Takahashi will come back for the olympics in 2010, and I noticed myself that he wasn't skating at worlds. What's happened to him?

he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee. It's a very serious injury which caused him to be out for the entire season Supposedly he now slowly started training again, and should be back by full force next season

This might sound bad, but I like Tomas when he's angry. Because I know it means 1) he believes in himself and knows what he's capable of 2) he will train his butt off this upcoming year

Well, I'm getting used to similar statements from commentators, journalists, experts etc. when it comes to Tomas. It looks like they can't cope with his personality.... IMHO caprica8 said it right!! About preparation I agree with you Dee, getting in shape too soon is as bad as being late.... I agree with point 1, but I think that he is already working as on point 2. He just has to work harder on his "Intrusive Thoughts", but from what I've seen he is on the good way (uhm, does this expression exist in english?) Anyway I like him angry too (I prefer to say: aggressive)
