Thank you, Jacqueline, I don't know who is responsible for this miracle that Stephane started his blog but this is a HUGE thing. And, WOW, I wrote the first comment to the first Stephane's entry. I think, I'm very privileged now.

Now, I must admit I'm a little bit shocked. I wouldn't expect it in million years. But it's great news for all fans. Hope it will be updated more often than once a year. I'm sure it can be very, very interesting if good effort is put into this. And thank you for letting us know about it. I'm very happy to see him in LA and hear from him. I was really sad about this year's competition without him. Hope he has great time there. reut, looks like your persuasions were successful. Congratulations.

It surprises me that Stéphane is really going to Worlds. I hope he will enjoy himself there and share his impressions in his journal.

BTW, check the "titles" of the photos (bring your mouse close to image and you'll see something rather cute). I loved it. elanor, I really don't think I have any connection to this. and I agree with you that to make journal interesting one should really "invest" in it. The start looks very cute. Waiting for some more already.

I keep thinking about all this "journal stuff". First of all I'm really-really excited, still, from yesterday. This is funny how something very small can make you so happy. It was a very wise decision to start journal, as he needs to "keep" his fan base and now, without competitions, with shows that only few can see, it's difficult. But for me the most amazing thing in all this that it's him who is doing this. I mean, someone commented this news on lambiel_ru that it's not something unusual or special, many skaters have blogs. But for me it IS special, because two months ago he was telling me how scared of Internet he is and what a bad, useless thing it is for him and that he'd love to live without all this. And maybe in some point he is right, Internet is not "real" (though sometimes we tend to forget this ) and real conversations with real friends are and should be more important. But here he himself gave an example: something "not so real", a post in a blog, which brought lots of very real happiness to lots of people. I hope he'll see it from the comments. I hope this journal will help him to understand that Internet IS a good thing (yes, it's still has lots of useless and even malicious things, but almost everything you can use for good OR for bad and it's YOUR choice what you're doing with it). It's not good to be scared of something, especially in our progressive time when Internet becomes something essential. I hope, he'll find more and more excitements in the "web life". I'm also very grateful that there is an option for a feedback there, that we can comment his entries. During a night he already received tens of comments. It sounds like a joke, but "Stephane - the most commented blogger in the skating world", why not? Being an experienced blogger myself, I must say that comments really give motivation to write more and more. I wonder if the decision to have a journal only in English means that there'll be lots of things written there (and then it's impossible to translate to four languages). Maybe not, but I'd like to see it this way. I wonder also how much Stephane is involved in writing blog entries. I'm sure, the words are his, it looks like his genuine style. I wonder if it's really him filling the entry in some form or still it's made with some others' help. I wonder, for example, if he wrote those cute "titles" for photos (love "Showing Off!" one especially). And actually I really liked that the photos are made by his cellphone, it makes it more sincere, I think (but of course, I'd love to see photos, especially portraits , of better quality too, hope he took his camera with him to LA). P.S. WOW, I wrote a lot. Sorry. Just wanted to share with you some thoughts...

Amazing. For years I’ve dedicated lots of time to collecting articles about Stéphane to get an idea what’s going on, especially because fans need some time to organize trips to galas etc. Since October 16th the amount of articles has still been on a high level but in summer it’s usually more quiet. Nothing compares to first hand information from Stéphane
