Hmmmm, have to have a think about this. It'll need to be something pretty special, being the Olympic year and (probably) thier final FD! (But I'm praying not - how can they quit when they're having so much success and improving all the time?) As for the OD - isn't it something folky again? I don't think they can really do the whole Scottish thing again. Perhaps do something totally random - like a gypsy dance. Or if they want to keep in the UK - Morris dancing? ;D

OD - something Celtic (well, if the Maori thing doesn't work out that was mentioned before ;D ).
That's all I'm able to think about. I need to recharge my brain before I can come up with anything more creative.

I will definitely have to think about this. They should do the Scottish thing again just because it sells really well. Imagine the reaction at the Olympics!!! And I love it love it love it. So do it for me you guys!!! Hahaha.

Since I asked for this thread I had better come up with something clever...... OD - something Celtic (well, if the Maori thing doesn't work out that was mentioned before ;D ). OH GOD...yes, hhrrrrmmm my Maori Haka OD idea comes back to haunt me..... oh well, no way I can hide from that one.... Florida wrote about "Morris dancing", what is that ? Is it the thing with the ribbons and stuff on a pole? ...am not an expert on brit-folk you see..... Serious props problem if it is.... ;D I have been watching a lot of "The Tudors" lately.... Wouldn´t that be a great theme for a FD? I´m not suggesting "HenryVIII & Anne Boleyn" but something with a Tudorian/Elizabethan feel. Great music, great costumes, lots of drama and fun..... besides S&J would look fantastic!!!!! I believe that the OD will be crucial though.... They will need something that sticks out and captures the crowd like the Scottish one did. Maybe then the judges will "see it" too..... The Celtic idea is great...... ..or maybe something with a Druid theme...(..but without Stonehenge...)?

I love the Scottish dance, but I'd like something new and different What about something Reggae for the OD? ;D You know, with a cool wig ;D If you don't like the wig idea, I'd like a Rock 'n Roll The FD seems more complicated for me, there are a huge amount of great music they could skate to. But I'm totally in love with Queen, you know a bit of "Bohemian Rhapsody", "The show must go on", even a bit of "No one but you"... and finishing with the "We are the champions" for influence the judges

Well, I'm not that creative.. But the scottish OD is the best ever! It was creative and impressive. But I think it's not a good idea to use it again. It wouldn't be impressive anymore. I think that celtic idea isn't bad at all! Morris dancing - Loooool. Never heard of it, so I searched on youtube. It's very funny, but I don't know if it will work on the ice. Something very emotional will be great for the FD. S&J can really bring emotions on the ice, that's one of the reasons I like them so much.

When we talked to them in Paris John had some idea for OD. He asked me not to publish this part of the talk, 'because though he was joking but... maybe it'll be true. If they really do what he told then, this is going to be SOOOOOOOOOOOOO COOL.

Sorry, can't, I promised. And John reads this board. If they drop this idea, maybe he'll write himself. If they don't drop, you'll see it next season.

I love stuff like this--but it HAS to have the tapping: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0W2duTA5kJ4(I'm in Starbucks and my feet want to pretend they know how to dance but I'm forcing myself to sit still. This kind of music makes me want to dance! I should learn!) I'm interested to see what they come up with. I'm partial to their ODs so I KNOW I'll love whatever it is.

The score from The Tudors would make an interesting and dramatic free dance.
