Although I really love their Scottish original dance and want to see a program like that again, I do not think they will. I remember Evgeni Platov described Sinead and John not as British but as Scottish who have a strong consciousness like "We are Scottish", and therefore, I hope they will perform something that has to do with their identity.
As for the free dance, rap/hip hop music would be great.

What do you think - stick with the more classical, smooth skating or back to f u n k y?

Time to play on their strengths in Olympic year - either something that has everyone smiling immediately OR gives them a real intensity that they can get into.... Film scores can be a bit bland so I woudn't necessarily suggest that...

In terms of what the judges look for.. I usually think something more classical works. However, something funky is fun and when you're having fun, it's easier (but not easy) to pull off the hard stuff. I think the program itself is sometimes harder because it's less safe and for instance, their OD this year, one wrong move and they'd prob be sent flying in the wrong direction! I think the funky usu. sits well with the crowd though.

If we're looking at Classical, how about something by Arvo Part?

Perhaps S&J will get some inspiration in Japan and create something like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2Zl767o-pQI believe some of those moves would translate perfectly onto the ice! (but then again, some of them won´t.... )

How did you find it?! It's breathtaking!!!!
It's curious, some days ago I saw the video of Kate Bush's "Runnin' up that hill" and I thougth just the same. Obviously it is something different, but the outfit and some moves had something oriental....

Xelah, I searched on Youtube for "Japanese dance" and I was lucky to find the wonderful and veeery talanted young man Taichi Saotome, who seems to be a very popular person in Japan. He is a seventeen year old actor/dancer who plays both male and female characters. I agree with you, the dance is breathtaking!!!! There is lots more of this on Youtube.... ..Go search!!!!
