So he's headed to Toronto right now, right? (Funny, when all the rumors of coaching changes were swirling last summer, I thought that if it really came down to that Orser would be the perfect choice.) So Stéphane will be in Toronto till the 9th or so, and Ice All Stars begins on the 14th with, I assume, a few days of rehearsals beforehand. Does that mean he's likely heading straight to Korea from Toronto with the Orser team? I'm over the moon about his return right now. While I was thrilled when I first heard, I admit my excitement was tempered - just worrying about possible injuries and thinking that he's so great in shows. But now, 36 hours later, I'm feeling giddy. He looks so happy and relaxed in the videos, and that's all it took for me. And I'd been doing such a good job of convincing myself that I don't care how he places in Vancouver, that I won't stress about it, that just seeing him compete again will be amazing, blah, blah, blah. Then of course Stéphane had go and claim, "Ich will Geld Gold!" Who am I kidding. Damn it, I want gold for him, too. I'm going to have my heart in my throat come next February. Can anyone translate/summarize this video for us non-French speakers?

It was impossible to continue. Now everything is different. I've found a good tempo. I can be on ice every day, I can practise and even if I'm in pain I can do on ice everything that I want to do. " that's all

chaerae, he said that the most important things for him were to be healthy, to show the real skater that he is, to show the things that he is capable of and not the competition. he also mentions he never put a limit on his skating at the galas, he continued trainning and also therapy for recovering faster. these past weeks he started trainning a little bit more and he feels ok and he decided to go to the OG because he felt better, strong and he really wants to qualify for OG. Then he said he has all the abilities to be one of the best, but there is a difference between this and being on the top that's why he will use the time till February to train in order to reach top. even if it will be difficult he wishes to be the best, the champion because this is his dream, he's prepared, gave and will give all his best ( without neglecting his health) for the competition. oh, and the competition remained and him even after his retirement and he felt a little bit sad that he couldn't performe in the competitions. omg, I guess I didn't resume ......and said it all

Thank you everybody for videos and news.
I can't believe that almost nothing was written in English, on English/American skating sites, such a shame...

I think, the spins are actually a bit "old": from the rehearsal of Art on Ice 2008 (according to the music of "Father and son" on the background) But the video and the moment with the candies are really funny.

I think it's awesome that his injury is a little better...the doctor he found in Torono must be really helping him! (do you think it's possible Stephane would train in Canada with Orser and his doctor? I know he said he'll be training in Switzerland, but the training camp in Toronto and his doctor in Toronto(?) made me wonder.) At any rate...this is so exciting! can't wait to see what SP music and program he comes up with!

kaymil01, I think earlier in the off-season when there were rumors about Carolina willing to train with Orser, Brian said that he wasn't planning on getting another elite skater to his team. But things might change of course. Maybe Stephane will visit him (and the physiotherapist) from time to time? Actually I'm really glad to know that the old team is back, the only people I could imagine near Stephane.
