This in a really beautiful interview. The last part sounds really like him again. And it cheers up all the Stephane fans, I'm sure.

I hope you had great vacation, :)and now we're again together looking forward for the upcoming great events! Of course, nothing would be better than joyful competitions without pain and injuries ... Please take into account not only Stephane's knees, but also his left adductor muscles and his back... However he's eager and hungry to try again!

It was vacation time... - and given to this I had not time to post here in the last few weeks but nevertheless had the chance to follow more or less AS as a "mutual" user . The comeback of Stéphane for Olympics - .... - what shall I say ? - When I heard about I was only middle astonished about and frankly have had two hearts in my breast.... - Though he told us in October to have thought about a retirement already since longer and his decision was not taken only in a few hours, IMHO those thoughts have been mainly nourished due to his situation with his injury which didn't seem to heal and given to this also didn't let him train as he liked. There might have been some other more or less minor issues too who "helped" him to announce his retirement ... - But the main reason was never that he was fed up with figure skating in general. What was proven in the past as he stayed still quite intense with figure skating in shows and didn't decide to start with fulltime studies at an university or something similiar. I'm very glad for him that it looks now, like he found finally a way to manage his pain thanks to special physiotherapy initiated by M. Pichler. What gave him finally the possiblity to re-start with a more intense and again daily figure skating training. That's great and I'm very happy for him! Hope everything will stay in this way or even be some more improvement regarding his health situation in future. Personally I'm sure I will enjoy every of his performance whether the result of a competition may turn out to be excellent or may not. He has such a unique style of skating/interpreting music that this alone will be satisfaction for me to watch and hopefully be also an inspiration for a lot of other skaters on every level too . So at the end I can only say : Wish him his health situations will allow him to achieve some more of his dreams in nearer and farer future! Hope the best that he and his team will have the wisdom to find together always this balanced way which suits him the best for continueing with figure skating also in competitions. - GOOD LUCK AND BLESSINGS, STEPHANE !
