Frefall, I like better the old costume and Stephane's hair....I think he really needs a haircut. I mean this long hair makes him look so mature and I prefer the boyish look he had before. I would like to believe he was so nervous that he forgot to go to the hairdresser ;D

And my most favorite Tango costume is the first one - the black one with orange leaves on the front part and a black satin shirt

yeah, actually I think the new costume would have looked better if the shirt was white and the vest black with some things on it

I liked his very first Tango costume...black vest with pretty glittery leaves.

My favourite costume is also the first one but with white shirt This new is also nice but too restrained I think. The first one was really captivating

I do not like, unfortunately, neither of the new costumes. Not bad, but to me it has taken a position.

And here i am with my opinion. I also prefer the previous one. If i hadn't see it, i'd probably would say that the new one is ok. But it misses smth... his creativity, imho.
As for Tell - i like the music, i like the costume, i like the way Stephane interprets it, but i would never risk to give such music to anyone else. I mean, the music is sooo lyrical that only Stephane can help it. He adorns the music and i would certainly make his dance official to this piece. Actually it did not catch me like Dralion, or my beloved Blood diamond -like i don't know wether i breathe or not, so quickly, so catchy it was. Okay, probably i'll change my mind, because all that Stephane does IS a masterpiece and a classic.

Here are my thoughts about the new short program
I've always loved about Stephane's skating that it's very serios - his programs are always something much more than just some fun and entertaining, they make you breathe and feel deeper than you are used to, think about more important things than job and everyday problems - and when you watch him skating you begin to believe that the beauty can save this world. He goes out on the ice - and you are hypnotized, you are no longer youself and no longer in your usual world - you are some better person in a better place.
But in this program he is using his power to put a spell on everyone who is watching him in a very different way. This program is to me about self irony - he is kind of saying "I know I can easily make you cry, but today and now I want you all just to smile". And that's GREAT.
I'd never think I could so much like such a program but I do! Now I know - I like not just something in his skating - I love him skating, whatever he does - it goes right from his heart, how can it not touch mine? THANK YOU, Stephane, for who you are and for all you do!

As for the Tango outfit, I so much disliked, to put it mildly, his previous Tango outfits, specifically because of these maple leaves, that anything other than that seems much better to me. Hence, I prefer the new one, and yet the new one looks too simple, pretty basic, one might think his Tango costume had been torn up or smth, and he had no choice but to borrow that white vest from someone else. It's more like an everyday garment than a catchy outfit. Also, I don't think that white(ish) colour is a good choice. Will he keep it? And will he keep the Tango for the Olympics after all? According to www.nouvelliste.ch/fr/news/sports/index.php?idIndex=12, Peter Grutter has doubts. I love his FS' footwork, transitions, step sequences, but I am not sure if Tango has the capacity to be a winning programme. The short programme is now one of my favourites. We are so much used to drama performances, in which he excels, and now something ironical and amusing. The SP' outfit is....I adore it !

I doubt too, that he'll keep it for the Olympics. Not that I think that it's not a winning program - what is a winning program after all? Solid jumps and skating around like Plushenko? If you got what it takes to win and you show your best no matter to which music and what you do on the ice - you will make everyone believe it's a winning program. That's my point. But I still think he will change it to some new program for the OG. First because it's in his nature to love new challenges - only Flamenco "survived" two seasons with him - plenty of others he changed already in the middle of the season. Second he looks like he needs a change - he changed the costum for Tango, while he said he was satisfied with the previous one. As for the costum for the new SP - I enormously like it! Even my favorite costumes of Blood Diamond, The Truman Show, Carne Cruda #2 (black) and #4 (the last one), Dralion, Fix you, Flamenco and King Arthur - as beautiful as they are - look pretty simple compared with this one.
