Thanks for the video! Diana is still injured. She was hoping to recover for nationals, and went back to Champéry in November for a bit, but then she withdrew from the competition. She has posted a couple of times that she is still coached by Stéphane, but with the injury, she also didn’t get funding from the federation this year, so I don’t know what the pathway forward is. By the way, Matilda is entered in the Nordics competition in Sweden in February 7-10 skatesweden.se/en/current/Thank you for the informations, fourthdimension !!

Especially I appreciate this part: (...) Stephane: "When I'm skating as a skater, I'm the focus. I just need to be worried about my own conditioning. But when I'm coaching, the student comes first. It took me a long time to learn to switch between those two modes of thinking." Lambiel says that when he trains, he tells himself "the next two hours are only for me" in order to focus on his training. (...) Yes, me too...

Thank you Reut, for the albums (besides the precious Champéry one also the other Euros 2018 ones)!! Nice to see some of them again plus additional ones! Special for me to watch the photos from the small medal ceremony with Javi and Deniss again ! I wouldn't mind to see the same podium at upcoming Euros ... also after FS. But to be realistic: men's field I think is even stronger this year. Still, I keep my fingers crossed for Deniss! And so nice, of course, all the photos with coach Stéphane! I hope this will the case again at coming Euros in Minsk, Reut !

Thank you so much taipeifollowers - for uploading the videos of the performances so quickly twitter.com/szk195_photo - for all the beautiful photos reut - for letting us 'participate' in the event through all your little stories on your twitter (you make me so curious to see that video of S&D recording a video message ), your photos, and of course for your efforts to organise a meeting with Stéphane again!!! . For all of you!! ... and to everyone else who keeps us up to date, of course ! I've just seen in the ISU results that Deniss did not do so well with his FS, (BUT he had the best components for long). I didn't dare to watch the skate yet, but thanks to taipeifollower's quick upload of the video I've just watched the K&C to get the mood after the skate. Deniss looks ok Good so! And now I wish a good skate for all in the last group, but - to be honest - my heart especially goes to Javi on his last competitive skate!! All the best !!

Interview in Finnish: Double World Champion guides Emmi Peltonen and experiences something inexplicable: "There are no ice-skates like Emmi at the moment"yle.fi/urheilu/3-10609499Emmi was much praised by British Eurosport commentators during her FS, too. Mentioning her expressiveness and her "rock solid" jumps during the warmup, which only needed to be available during the competition for Emmi to rise. I had a sudden vision for 'Team Champéry', now that the amount of higher level students seems to slowly increase. I dreamed of Javi coming to Champéry every once in a while as guest-coach for camps, for example . (Well, it's allowed to dream, isn't it ).

Well, probably he can come with his skaters (as he said he plans to start coaching in Spain, to help develop this sport even more)? Like, for example, Mie Hamada did this summer. But it will take a few years.

Well, would be quite a fruitful collaboration I guess . Why not. Reut: once you have relaxed and find the time - Would you mind telling what Deniss said in the Mixed Zone after his FS? I've seen two or three photos, but no clip or report or so?
