New Year greetings from Stéphane. Dear friends, How to even begin summarizing 2014? Without a shadow of a doubt, this has been the busiest and most exciting year of my life. I had the pleasure of developing two huge projects: the Skating School of Switzerland and Ice Legends, all the while continuing to travel around the world to skate in amazing shows and work with talented young athletes. But most importantly, I had the privilege of sharing my passion for figure skating with each and every one of you, and I hope that 2015 brings us plenty more of these moments. Yes, he did very well, there in second pDF is cute pic too of him with mr Grütter. Here is more a blog of a finnish mother who lives with her family in Switzerland. Her 2 daughters do figure skating and elder was in competitions too. She speaks a bit about Stéphane as well and says he was "lovely and happy".  alppitar.blogspot.com/ |

In finale, Machida and Lambiel appeared side by side. The one who found out Machida’s talent early is Lambiel. The scene that the two skaters jumped successfully at the same time touched me a lot. Lambiel was watching Machida’s skating and matching the jump timing. At the end, Machida and Suguri were called back to ice rink again, then Uno and Higuchi sent bouquets to them.

Some of the reactions to Stéphane's "Light pre-show warmup" were so heartwarming, that I felt like sharing here. From Doug Mattis, US former skater and now coach: "I've been saying it for nearly three years-- Lambiel is SO much more awesome since he turned pro. Artistically...and *dayyumm* -- them jumps!" And then more in the comments: I've seen lots of his work these past few years...and his imoroved ability to be inventive and emotional gobsmacks me. That's the thing-- he can bring an arena to its feet with no jumps at all. And then...there's his jumping prowess, which I swear is better than ever!" And this comment on "TSL" Facebook: "That he puts so much training time in for shows, really let's you know how passionate he is for the sport. Not that I think anyone ever doubted it. It's a nice quality to see and honestly probably the rarest, especially to endure over the years. I am happy he retired when he did. It's clear he didn't burn out." |

Tonya posted a picture on her Instagram of Stephane at a restaurant in Cancun; apparently he's vacationing there with them. Glad he's taking some time to relax after his very busy winter! (I don't have the ability to link to the photo, sorry.)
