Good news to all Scandinavian and Estonian readers with cable TV. The Viasat Sport 1 channel will air "Kristi Yamaguchi's salute to American music" on Wednesday Dec 22nd at 20.40 Swedish time. This is actually an historic event as American skating shows never before have made it to any TV channel we can watch here. If you can tune in, please let the station know we're very pleased with their efforts and would love to see more skating. Viasat has 3 sport channels so they should be able to make room for a little more skating in their line up. Try this e-mail address: info@viasat.se. They say they can't answer all the mail, but they do read it. Good enough, I'm writing them already.

Kristi was shown of course and both of Ilia's numbers; "All I know" which Art Garfunkel sang live to, it was very nice, and "Green tomatos", Brian Orser, Paul Wylie, Roca and Sur, Roz Sumner, Caryn Kadavy and two numbers by Kurt, one was "Time in a bottle". We also got to see the opening and finale and one more groupnumber. Most of the in-betweens had been cut out so the show was only an hour long, but what we got so see was very good. Tonight there's a rerun and then the Andrea Bocelli tribute on ice! Edited to tell you I've also watched the "Andrea Bocelli Tribute on ice" now, and it was wonderful! Brian Boitano, Caryn Kadavy, Roca/Sur, Silvia Fontana, Shae Bourne, Mike Weiss, Katia Gordeeva, Brian Orser, Todd Eldredge and Nicole Bobek (although she was only shown in the opening and finale) skated. There were many highlights but one was Brian B skating to Nessum Dorma, and of course Roca/Sur "The prayer". I've seen it many times and love it. Thank you Viasat!

wow getting spoiled are we? Also just saw Andrea Bocelli Tribute on Ice....very suprised it was actually a skating show Great! Hope tv will keep doing this. I actually liked Shae skating alone (ok not silent night with sheet, but the other one) and also Mike... I liked that despite the fact there were singers on the ice they showed a lot of skating, besides the closing number...Best of all, NO commentary! ;D Oh, didn't see Todd Eldredge and Nicole Bobek, maybe they were just in the closing and I didn't notice..?

There was another rerun of Kristi's show today, and Holiday Celebration on Ice and Stars on Ice from Lake Placid are both coming up within the next few days. I am in heaven!
