Ken is scheduled to compete at the annual Central Ontario Summer Skate in Thornhill in just more than a week from today. www.skatecanada-centralontario.com/Irma/Summer%20Skate%202005/index.htmWith Ken, Jeff Buttle, Takeshi Handa, Nobunari Oda, Chriss Mabee, and Ben Ferreira the Senioe Men's event shoul be very interesting. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it to Thornhill on Saturday and that equals missing the Men's SP. I'll be there on Sunday though so you can expect a detailed report on this part of the competition. And just a side note, seems to be having a very busy early season, with all the summer events she's been taking part in... Hope he'll benefit from all those experiences when the major events roll around

results: 1. Oda Nobunari 72.12 138.83 210.95 2. Jeffrey Buttle 67.91 130.83 198.74 3. Chris Mabee 62.90 126.78 189.68 4. Ben Ferreira 60.24 120.75 180.99 5. Ken Rose 56.67 119.03 175.70 6. Patrick Chan 51.58 122.84 174.42 other results on the website: www.skatecanada-centralontario.com/Irma/Summer%20Skate%202005/html/smrs.htmlI'm so happy about Ken and news from them: Ken had a very good weekend. Short Program: Clean short other than he would have liked a 3lutz/3toe instead of the 3lutz/2toe. Score was 56.67 - a personal best! Free Program: Planned content was 7 triples, and 2 double axels. Ken landed his first 3lutz/3toe/2loop in competition. The only flaws in the program were a fall on a 3flip and a hand down on the 2nd 3lutz. Score was 119.03 - another personal best!
Feedback was very positive to his new choreography. Great finish to the summer. Thanks for all of your support from overseas!!! Keep your fingers crossed for the remainder of the season. weheee:D Thank you for the update for them:)

Thanks Helga and Ken! Not all of us are overseas though... I was in Thornhill on Sunday only and I really enjoyed the competition. Ken's LP is fabulous. There's a thought in this program and it really shows. I really liked the sl step seqsuence - very interesting! And the opening combination was absolutely FAB! I and my friend I was watching men's LP with decided that Ken's a 3a away from the podium at Nationals since everything else about his skating is already top-class
