translation There is only 1 dance couple and 1 pairs skaters competing in the Czech Republic. The Nationals will last 3 days. On Thursday most of the skaters will be already in town and the official schedule states that the draws are to take place this evening. But the Czech junior and senior figure skating nationals will fully start on Friday. First the Novice pairs and dance will take the ice, followed by junior ladies. Then it will be time for junior men. Dance will start with CD, the juniors with the SP. On Friday evening the seniors competition will also officially take off. On Saturday morning the novice and juniors FP will take place. At 5PM their victory ceremony will be held. After that the seniors competition will begin. On Saturday their SPs will end shortly before 10PM, concluded by the pairs SPs. On Sunday the audience will see the senior ladies, senior men LPs, as well as one pairs LP and one FD. "We have men, but we lack ladies," Vlasta Koprivova, the coach of Tomas Verner, was sorry to say. "That´s why there are no other pairs and dance." Entries - 9 Junior men, 24 junior ladies (full number), senior ladies 17, senior men 5. "This will be the last home performance of Tomas Verner before the Olympics," said the Nationals director Petr Dvoøák. Verner is the only Czech skater to compete at Olympics.
