Verner wants to do a quad at Euros The main person of the czech team on the Euros in Lyon will be 19 years old guy from Písek. He has clear idea with which he will go to the competetion. „I want to improve my personal best which was the 10th place. And show a quadruple jump.“ told Verner about his goals. He will be the only one who will go to the Olympic games to Torino in one month. Verner flew to Lyon on Monday together with his coach Vlasta Koprivova. At this years Euros the traditional sequence of the cathegories is different and men’s competition will be on Friday and Saturday. „From Tuesday on I wil be practising and watching the others.“ told Verner at the interview before flight to Lyon. The skater of Skate Club Ceske Budejovice missed last years Euros because of health problems. In France he would liike to improve his 10th place from Budapest 2004. And for the first time he wants to show a quadruple jump. „The main thing is to skate a good program and move up higer than in 2004. A quad is important for my inner good feeling, I want to belong those who jump it in competition. It is different in practice.“ told Verner, who tries quadruple toeloop already a few seasons. During a competition he always finally changed his mind. In Lyon he would like to show in his LP a quad in combination with triple axel. On this he mainly worked at the training camp in Oberstdorf, where he practised at the turn of the year. And with this practice he was maximally confident. Everything went according to a plan. Maybe even better than I have imagined. The last two days I was tired but till the beginning of the championship there is enough time.“ said Verner who came back to CZ ot 10th January. Then he visited school, he rested for two days and comtinued in his preparations. The result from lyon wil be imprtant also for the Olympic games in Torino. „It will certainly help me. I will meet the world top and I will remind myself to the judges.“ added Verner. wtf that picture??? don't they have another one?? I guess they have been using this one for ages And [glow=black,2,300] GOOD LUCK TOMAS!!![/glow]
