I just watched it,so here’s brief summary of the program. The guests were Tomas and his coach Vlasta Koprivova and at first they repeated results of all dicsiplines. After Lyon: Tomas said he analyzed quite a lot but with his coach only the most important things. they are going to analyse mostly after the season is over because now there is a lot of things in front of him and he needs to concentrate on improving elements that went wrong on Euros. SP: They were showing Tomas’s SP and were commentating it. some quotes: Tomas said that Sp is quite a stressing part because there are 8 elements that he must do and he mustn’t make mistakes. Mistake on 3F 3Toe combination – he described what happened, that his right hand was pointing down and that this is the sign of where his body will be going in the next moment (on the ice...). Then he said that he was watching Plushenko’s practices and he never saw that his hand would go that way, so maybe Tomas should learn from it. His ambitions after the Sp was 6th or maybe even 5th place but then he was content with 7th. LP: beginning – Tomas says that the start of the LP should put the judges into fear – the music is mysterious, dark 4toe – he was aware of the mistake already in the air, can’t explain it but it happened. in practices he usually jumps 4-3 combination from 70% he needs to train the mental power Overall he is glad for the 10th place because the next year 2 Czechs will be able to go on Euros. Then they showed Plushenko’s LP and commentated that one. Tomas says that he is unique, that when he skates he has elegance in his movements and it seem that he jumps only incidentally Then Petr Vichnar asked if Koprivova thinks that Tomas could reach Plushenko’s level. She replied that she is not sure if she can say it in front of Tomas but probably yes – that he has the necessary take-off abilities and the rotation. Generally she thinks she should compliment him.

aww, thanks Katis! I was about to do it and now I don´t have to anymore Just a few random comments - Tomas said that he has watched a lot of Plushenko´s trainings, not only in Lyon, but also before Euros and that he should really pay attention to how Plush does his elements, because he thinks Plush is the master and of course it is good to learn from the master - About his final placement at Euros - well, he is dissapointed because he was hoping to be in the final 6, but nevertheless, he is positive about the fact that at least next year two Czech men can go He said that having two men at Euros already means that the country is good in skating And also that it´s good for the team spirit. - About the quad - he said that already in the air he knew something was wrong, but he just concentrated on fully rotating it so that it would count as a quad But he was still dissapointed, because in practice he had no problems with it (and that I can confirm, he was solidly landing 4-3 all week ) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- And something that I had meant to post right after Lyon, but forgot - during men´s lp practice, Zhenya was watching Tomas the whoooole time...it was so funny, Zhenya was standing near the kiss and cry and his glance followed Tomas all around the ice. Overall, I think it´s not only that Tomas highly respects and admires Plushenko (as he has stated many times), but also that Zhenya himself notices Tomas´s talent and abilities

thanks for the comments Lizzie, I know there are things I forgot... he knows that a big rival of him is growing in Tomas so it's useful to watch him

yeah...and if not a rival (because for all we know, Plushenko might retire), then definitely someone that can take his place...

Tomas' programs are out of this world!! If he'd land the quad in the LP and all the other jumps... wow! I think it's totally cute that Tomas looks up to Plush so much... - and it was really cool to see that Zhenya was watching Tomas as well!! thank you for the recap!
