Yes, it is strictly speaking, and the commentators mentioned this and wondered if they'd be penalised for it, but looking back it's only slightly above his head for a second or two, as part of a change of position, he doesn't hold his hand above his head to support her in a static position for the entire duration of that lift, it's fluid, so I guess they got away wth that one. Sometimes the Officials can be your friend aswell as *hate* figures.  |

FD video...semi-bad quality but who cares: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1B5_9R8Dyn4i actually laughed at the gunshot part....isabelle over emphasized it... i love how confident both of them are... this is the first time i saw olivier smiling that much...amazing serpentine lift still...a weak spin.... ahhh a change in the program....the point where they "rewind" awesome! new hold in their curve lift intense footwork...complex and edgy and of course the straight-rotaional combo lift....the best... felicitations isa et oli....encore.... |

YAY! Isabelle & Olivier won the exhibitions of the top 3 Dancers too! ;D They skated mesmerizingly to Diego by Johny Halliday, and an Encore to another French song, with their usual array of spectacular moves and lifts, very expressive too. In the Group Finale, where everyone does their party piece Isa & Oli did their amazing tabletop move! |
