Yesterday night I did notreally say good bye to Fede and Massi because we knew I was going to see their tango practices today, with the same ballroom dancers they worked with in June. I arrived to find them all at the cafè of the rink, having a chat before going inside - I happily joined in. On the ice they really worked hard, retouching and modifying little bits here and there - it's incredible what difference can make a small adjustment: we already loved the OD on saturday, but today it even improved the step sequences and poses... Nicoletta and Alberto are really fabulous dancers and have really grown to understand the difficulties of translating this dance to the ice (plus they're really fun people, it's nice to talk to them!).
After the end of the practice, after taking some photos, we again went back to the cafè to wait for them to get changed.
This time it was really time to say goodbye! But no tears were shed this time: we know we'll meet in a month in Paris for Bompard, so we have something to look forward to, very close to us!
Now it's time for us on the site to work a bit - we have A LOT of photos, from competition, from practices, off ice moments and those we spent at dinner, the photos Massi has given me from the seamstress, etc... reports from the competition and the first fan meeting, plus I made videos of every program... lots of stuff coming soon! I will be working on the new "look" of the site, also, and I have taken some photos especially with new wallpapers and things like this in mind!
so... stay tuned!

Thank you so much for sharing your weekend with us. Great to hear you had such a nice time, including the cozy dinner at the good old pizzeria. Now I'm even more looking forward to seeing them this season, and I should luckily get to see them live at least twice! Forza Fede e Massi!!!! (And good luck with the site...)

I'll be in Paris (won't spend much time around Bercy, though, just enough to catch the men and FD - and Caro, if she makes it) and in Warsaw. And at GPF in Pretty Piter - *fingers crossed* that they will, too! Would be happy to meet you, yup! Pics are great to look at, but a nightmare to put on a site, aren't they?

Great! Then if we don't meet in Paris, we'll sure meet in Warsaw! I really can't wait for the season to start now, it's all getting so exciting!
Translating is actually what bothers me most now... making a site is really a lot of work, yup, and keeping it updated all the time takes a lot of energy... I'm taking a break with Stéphane's site... Just went "all around" Fede&Massi's site, by the way, looooooooved the pics when they were kids (Massi Chaplin is currently my wallpaper) and I guess the French translator is from Québec, right? Because some expressions are just too cute!

oh yes, I'll be in Warsaw surely Thursday/Friday/Saturday/maybe part of Sunday... we'll surely organize something for the fanc club with the guys, and also we can meet by ourselves if we want to!
oh yes, it's so much work.. we are glad to have a nice team otherwise it would be madness to have it in 4 languages! and yes, the French translator... has posted in this thread too!and she'll see F&M in a couple of weeks! we expect a FULL report!

Hi Céline! It's me who translated the site in French. I laughed when I saw your comment about my "cute expressions". Yes, I'm from Quebec, you guessed right! I now live in Ontario, which is right beside... I know that in Europe the expressions are sometimes different... I tried to use vocabulary as generic as possible, but if there are things you think could be improved, especially for the European audience, please let me know!! And don't be scared to offend me; I love everything that has to do with languages. I will be in Warsaw too. I actually just received my ticket yesterday. I'm so excited. I will go for the entire event. I hope maybe I can meet you too. It will be my first time going to Europe for a figure skating event! Caroline.

Coucou Caroline! Cool that you're coming all the way from Canada to Euros!! Of course I want to meet you too - if only just to hear you cute "accent québécois"! I'll get there on Tuesday evening and leave on Sunday afternoon, so that should leave us plenty of time to organize something... I can't really point out expressions to change, I just love "tomber en amour" so much that it has to stay for example! The one thing you might want to know though, is that we never EVER use "partisans" other than in political contexts here, so it was a bit weird for me to read that many times. I know people in Québec try to avoid "anglicismes" as much as possible, but here we always use "fans"... Up to you to leave it or change it. I'm still at the pic of Massi as Chaplin that I put as a wallpaper on my comp (the "closer" pic of the 2). It's the most adorable Chaplin I've ever seen...

Hi Céline! Wow, this trip to Euros is starting to shape up really nice for me. None of my usual figure skating friends could make it there, but it looks like I will be able to meet several of my new European friends. This will be such a great experience!! Thanks a lot for the tip about "partisans". I have to say that I hesitated a lot about this one. I'll definitely give it some thought! So, just because I'm so curious, how do say it in French when you fall in love, if you don't say "tomber en amour"? I forget where you are from. Is French your mother tongue? I have to say that I'm so happy to see that some fans do read the French version. I thought it would be a great addition to Fede and Massi's site, but I wasn't sure how many people would read it. I'm going to Skate America next week, and Skate Canada the week after. I know, I'm really spoiling myself this year. I will try to post as much info as I can here... One of my friend absolutely likes Stephane, and I do like him a lot too. So we are really looking forward to see him. And keeping our fingers crossed that he makes it this year... no injury!! Caroline.

Wow, SA and SC back to back, and then Euros! What a nice season you'll have!! (I'm quite thrilled about mine too.)I'm from little Switzerland and yes, French is my mother tongue. I'm currently studying at the Ecole de Traduction et d'Interprétation in Geneva and there're about as many French as Swiss students, and a couple of Belgian people too. Last year there was also a guy from Québec in the class where we translated "general" texts from English into French and it was really interesting, because he'd always come up with "new" expressions and question what we were suggesting. That's when I started to fully realize the differences between French, Swiss and Belgian French, and even more with "Québécois". Moreover, a friend spent a year in Québec for her studies and said it took her a while to really understand what people were saying - and it wasn't just because of the accent, obviously.

This is so interesting. I don't want to spend too much time talking about my personal life here, but I own a company, and part of what we do is translation from English to French. I'm sure there is a lot we could talk about!! I'm glad I got to know you a bit better! Now, back to talking about Fede and Massi... I can't believe I'll be watching them skate in just 2 weeks!! Youppi! Caroline.

OMG!!! You are studying the same thing as I am! And I am planning to spend a semester or two in Geneva at precisely this school! Wow!
What languages are you studying? English, I suppose?
