Goodness! Viktor is only substitute! What a shock! I don't know Manuel's skating at all, but look forward to seeing him on TV at Warsaw, as he must be good.

first thanks for the welcome yes i´ve seen the competition...and i have to say...it is totally ok that manuel has won!! already after the short he was first and had 8 points more than viktor. manuel skated clear ( 3 lutz+2 toe; 2 axel, 3 flip) his shortprgr. was jaunty, good leves in spins and steps...good interpretation and choreography...really good for an austrian skater! viktor made lots of mistakes...(2flip+3toe, 1 axel,3 toe) bad spins and i don´t like is new style!! maybe you know, he has a new coach (uschi keszler)...he skates deep...veeery deep in the knee now. he skates with speed but it looks very slow...don´t like it! but tastes are different... on the next day viktor also had a bad day...can´t remeber his whole prgr. but what i can remeber is...for me it was boring... singled some jumps an so on... manuel also didn´t skate clear...i think he fall down one 2 axel and one 3 lutz. but again good spins and steps. not the best informations...for more i have to look for the protocol..i´m sorry also sry for my bad english today

thank you very much! Manuel has an interesting style, I saw him at first this September. His style reminded me the style of Viktor, but Viktor also changed a lot, and now I can't say, that Manuel's style is similar to Viktor's.. Unfortunately at the JGP where I saw Manuel he wasn't as good as here... But he became immediately our favorite... That's why I don't know what to think.... Congratulations to Manuel, and Good Luck for Euros!!! And I feel so sorry about Viktor... I also don't like so much his new style, perhaps because he skated so different last years - and that was the style we liked so much.. Viktor is a great skater, and a great person too - hope he will find soon himself.... your english is fine

Thanks for your impressions iceicebaby, nice to read about the Austrian Nationals. Uschi Keszler? Gosh! I didn't know Viktor had changed coaches, so now he has that deep Canadian knee bend style of Dance and Pairs. I think it's good if Manuel skated better that the Judges placed him first, and he will go to Warsaw, it's only fair, and I'm sure Viktor will be back!

yeah i´m sure that viktor will come back!!!...but i hope with a better style... i liked him sooo much...but now...i have seen him twice...first at the karl schäfer memorial..and i was shocked...he skated with his nose on the ice....now at the austrians it was better...also very deep...but not with the nose on the ice maybe next time it will be better again but at the moment manuel is my favourite

Well, I find Viktor´s new style very interesting And his edges...yummy! I also saw him at KSM and I must agree that there he still looked like he was adjusting to this big change in style...his jumps weren´t there and his spins looked messy. But overall I like the new style. I hope he gets used to it fully and then I´m sure he will get his jumps back again Ah, if only there were more skaters with such edges! ETA - my mistake, I misread the previous posts...Manuel never participated at the KSM. >>Manuel's Isu Biography<<
