fr.reuters.com/article/sportsNews/idFRPAE59G05J20091017For those who don't understand French, Isabelle did a press conference at TEB and the article basically says: - she is getting ready for one last challenge before devoting herself entirely to her son; - they'll resume training on October 26; - everything is OK with her and the baby; - first objective: Euros in Tallin; then of course the Olympics; - the practice has actually started in April after her surgery; - it's not an unreasonable move since the programs are well advanced; - she stopped training in August; Olivier had to practice by himself and lifted a lot of weights; - Isabelle has overcome her amplitude range issue brought by the shoulder surgery and she is confident the side effects of the pregnancy will soon disappear; - her body didn't change that much, she just has to be careful with her pelvic muscles; - she is preparing to leave her baby for three weeks during the Olys and she will ask for advice from other athletes who resumed training soon after giving birth; - all these emotions (injury, pregnancy) are a plus as they need an extra bit of emotion to with the gold in Vancouver; - their OD will be a French Cancan and the FD will use the music La Quête by Jacques Brel. I hope their plan works out! Ioana

Thanks for the translation. I had read a bit over on another forum and figured out they must not be coming back for the GPs. I'm glad she's playing it smart though I'll miss seeing them skate live!

Pity, that we won't see them at GP's - only 2 competitions left for us to enjoy their skating I wish it wasn't their last season...
