Barring any other withdrawls or unexpected results, it looks like the lineup for the Grand Prix Final will be as follows.
Tessa VIRTUE / Scott MOIR CAN Nathalie PECHALAT / Fabian BOURZAT FRA Sinead KERR / John KERR GBR Anna CAPPELLINI / Luca LANOTTE ITA Tanith BELBIN / Benjamin AGOSTO USA Meryl DAVIS / Charlie WHITE USA
Going to be very stiff competition, but the exposure and prestige that comes from the GPF will help them enormously. Hopefully it will help the judges see them as a major couple, and start giving them the marks they deserve! ;D

Well I read your post and I know I prefer S&J to B&A, and it's ok to say that.

Just a quick question, does anyone know how many world ranking points are available for the GPF?
I was looking at the world rankings and S&J are currently 6th, only just behind Del/Schoes (!) and K/N. As those two couples won't be competing until the Euros, S&J will leapfrog them with the points they earn from the GPF!
However, Virtue&Moir, who are ranked behind S&J, will overtake them this week with Skate America, meaning S&J will finish the GPF ranked 5th in the world, which I think is fantastic.
Have they ever been ranked quite that highly?

Have they ever been ranked quite that highly? I don't think they have. ;D Another achievement for their country!

I like B&A but I think my favorite B&A days are in the past. I did enjoy them at SA though--more back to their old style, IMO. I do, however, still like S&J's programs better--specifically the OD.

Quite frankly, I thought theirs was better. I'm not just saying it but after seeing Nathalie and Fabian's on tv, I expected a little more excitement (though I know some of that is lost when I sit up higher and I was that day). Emily & Evan's I liked better than on tv, but I don't think they are quite up to S&J's level. I still did enjoy Nathalie and Fabians a lot even though I had higher expectations. I think that makes sense! I haven't seen Nathalie and Fabian skate live in 3 years. I've seen Sinead and John at practice within that time. I think Sinead and John have more visible energy. As far as the free dances, it's hard. Nathalie and Fabian's is cool but I did kind of expect more all around. Maybe I have unfair expectations! I also took a lot of photos so I didn't always watch each program in its entirety.
