ann, thank you so much for your report! I was waiting for it. I'm glad to know that he changed "Traviata" to fit to the show format. Hope, we'll see it again sometime. Was the arena full if you say there was no advertisement? Oh, I mean, the information about Dreams on Ice and Fantasy on Ice is not announced yet. So we don't know where is it and how many shows are, etc. Sorry for my poor English! Today, the arena was almost full. I heard today's show was sold out.

The galas in Japan sounds really interesting! I'd love to go to and visit Japan and at the same time see some skating!! I'm not sure about doing it this year, though. Does anyone know how much a good hotel would cost in Japan (in Japanese Yen)? iloveprincecaspian, Sorry I don’t know exact cost ‘cause I’ve hardly stayed so good/gorgeous hotels. but it depends the location, in a big city like Tokyo or somewhere local. In Japan, there is no information about these shows. Actually, Stephane’s schedule is the first and only information about these shows!! I went today’s Diamond Ice show. Stephane did La Traviata, very just after his long flight from Sweden. Of course, it had less jumps, but another was almost full-version. All jumps that he did were clean. His movement caught the music. It was wonderful! The audience burst into applause. Adding this, he did the last half part of Tell for encore. At that time, all spectators rushed into crazy! Stephane got the biggest applause in the show, I think. (but someone may say “ same as Dai-chan or next to Dai-chan”.) I’m very happy to see them. In today’s show, there were only 4 skaters to (be let to) do encore, Mao, Dai-chan, Miki, and Stephane. At opening, Stephane did a spiral, rotating around his hands lying down (sorry, I don’t know how to explain this movement) and a spin. At finale, Stephane and Tomas appeared together. They did ballet-jumps like Stephane and Shizuka in Thin Ice, and did a spin. Later, they did a jump together. He looked happy and not so exhausted on the ice, but off ice, I don’t know… I really appreciate Stephane coming to Japan when he is so busy. Not only me but also all Japanese fans think so. And we also worry about his health. I hope he can keep his good condition after these shows. I’m also very sorry, in Japan, we(audience) are not allowed to record videos of shows and take photos. I hope some news organizations will update articles about the show on the internet. sorry for my poooooor English... Thank you for your answer, ann! Can I ask you something? Why is Daisuke sometimes called Dai-chan? I know "Dai" is his nickname, but why -chan? Thanks!

-Chan is an kind suffix added to names in Japan. (like Shin-chan: P) also use one to make them more respectful suffix -san (as in karate kid, daniel-san do you remember it?)

So Stephane came directly from his flight to perform? Wow - that must have been exhausting. So glad to hear that he did Traviata and that he did it well! I guess he wouldn't have had time to rehearse with Tomas and the rest of the cast but it sounds like they managed to perform together anyways. Do you think they are planning to broadcast the show in Japan and that's why they wouldn't allow any filming or photos? I hope that's the case cause I'd love to see what he did with his program.

I am sorry to inform you all that on TV they only showed very little pieces of his program. What a biiiiiig shame!! I was totally expecting the whole thing to be aired on TV, so I didn't prepare anything to write here... but I'll write some things I remember. At opening, Stephane did a spiral, rotating around his hands lying down (sorry, I don’t know how to explain this movement) and a spin. It is called hydroblading, I think. I loved him in the opening!! He wore that red shirt from the show in Russia. Stephane's spiral is soooooo elegant and graceful and beautiful. And his hydroblade was so sexy the ladies went screaming. And his spin was really amazing!! La Traviata was really really nice!! I went to both shows and he seemed very relaxed and happy on both days. All his jumps were very solid and clean. In the second show he did a gorgeous quad, and the crowd went crazy!! In the latter half of the program he replaced some jumps with other less strenuous moves like split jump or other fluff stuff. All very nicely choreographed. The program really fit the gala atmosphere. The show lighting highlighted his elegant moves. It was beautiful. I hope he performs this program in other galas so everyone can enjoy it as a show program. Like his other programs, the artistic quality of his competitive program is so high that it becomes a great show program. Amazing! The Tell encore was very exciting!!! Everyone in the audience was clapping. On both days he warmed up the audience and totally changed the atmosphere of the show. After his performance you could tell the difference in the way the crowd was clapping and cheering for other skaters as well. By the way, the William Tell encore in La Traviata costume is HOT!! LOOOOVE it!! Although I love his Tell costume, I personally think that his La Traviata costume would go well with many of his other programs as well. He seemed to be having fun throughout the gala. I hope he gets some good rest before his next show!! By the way, when Miki was performing her Rome/Cleopatra encore, I saw Stephane waiting at the gate for his turn (he was up next) and dancing in the dark along to Miki's music. Very cute!!
