1. When (and where) did you first see Stéphane? First saw, not sure but first NOTICED at Vancouver Olympics.
2. What do you usually call Stéphane? (for example, do you call him Stéphane, Stéph, etc) Stephane
3. Which physical feature of Stéphane do you like best? Eyes, mouth
4. Which element of his program do you like most? His expressive use of hands and arms. Sequence on his knees in NMQP. Spins of course. Also love that he sings with the music a lot.
5. If Stéphane skates of one of his programs for your birthday, which program would you request? Tainted Love. I watch that twice a day I'm an eighties music lover (well, love all kinds of music) and that routine just makes me smile so. He is sooo debonaire, fun, and plain sex on skates performing it.
6. If you could give him a present for his birthday, what kind of present would you give? In reality a nice letter about what being a fan means to me. In my dreams, I would grant him his any wish that would cause him joy.
7. If you were one of Stéphane's men competitors, who would you like to be? No clue.
8. If you have the chance to talk to him for 10 mins, what would you say to him? Would ask him about his other interests, he is so bright. Maybe he could teach me French in 10 minutes...
9. Which gala show would you like to see him in? One in the USA! If not, then Art On Ice in Switzerland.
10. If you could choose a song for his new program, what would it be? Ahh, I love too much music to pick. Whatever he chooses he embodies totally so I would be happy.
Finally, what is your message for Stéphane? Live, Love, Laugh! You bring great joy to so many and have inspired many friendships.

1. When (and where) did you first see Stéphane? The very first time, on television, was at the Olympic SP in Torino. The first time live was at King on Ice in Milan in January 2009. 2. What do you usually call Stéphane? (for example, do you call him Stéphane, Stéph, etc)Just Stéphane. 3. Which physical feature of Stéphane do you like best? This is a cruel, cruel question. I don’t think I can choose between his hair and his wrists. Be patient with me! 4. Which element of his program do you like most?My God, this questionnaire is full of cruel questions It actually depends on which kind of program. I usually like his spins more in exhibitions than in competitions, because when he doesn’t need to worry about levels and whatnots they are more free, and therefore more beautiful. In competitions, I’m usually in awe at his step sequences. He is such a musical skater. 5. If Stéphane skates of one of his programs for your birthday, which program would you request?“Ne me quittes pas” is my favourite program, but I’ve already seen it live, and I would prefer to choose something I’ve never seen live before. So “Carne Cruda”. 6. If you could give him a present for his birthday, what kind of present would you give? This is probably going to sound pretty stupid, but I actually have a silly dream My childish little dream is to realize a book of portraits of Stéphane, and then give it to him. You know, something simple, maybe hand-bound… I did something like that for a friend some years ago, and I would love to do it for him. 7. If you were one of Stéphane's men competitors, who would you like to be?Actually, I would probably retire after the first competition. Okay, Brian Joubert. So I wouldn’t care all that much for the artistic side of skating, and I would probably feel no reasons to retire at the mere sight of Stéphane skills. And at least I would have my quads, and my dashing good look (If by any chance the meaning of the question is just a “What’s your favourite skater after Stéphane?”, then my answer is Takahashi.) 8. If you have the chance to talk to him for 10 mins, what would you say to him? This is the most difficult question for me. When I try to think about it, I’m not able to go past: “Thank you.” If I will ever have the chance, I’ll just have to hope that I will be a little more eloquent than that. 9. Which gala show would you like to see him in?I would love to go to Art on Ice. Sadly, it’s just too much expensive for me. 10. If you could choose a song for his new program, what would it be?Ravel’s Bolero. Or “Flames” by Vast. Finally, what is your message for Stéphane?Er… again, just a huge “thank you”? (I’m so not good at this.)

Which element of his program do you like most? The spiral (in the long version from training sessions in Tallinn) and the Tell step sequence 5. If Stéphane skates of one of his programs for your birthday, which program would you request?I don't wanna be (improvisation and singing along welcome ) 6. If you could give him a present for his birthday, what kind of present would you give? There are still about 340 days to think about it 7. If you were one of Stéphane's men competitors, who would you like to be?Samuel Contesti (also because I would see the trainers kind-hearted face behind the boards) 8. If you have the chance to talk to him for 10 mins, what would you say to him?Lot's of things that would slip my mind then 9. Which gala show would you like to see him in?Art on Ice for a lot of years to come because it's my favourite gala and brings on 2 new programs each year 10. 1. When (and where) did you first see Stéphane?Vancouver 2010, SP - William Tell (on TV) (Kings on Ice (or Olympic Ice Tour) - Ostrava, April 19th - live) 2. What do you usually call Stéphane? (for example, do you call him Stéphane, Stéph, etc)Stéph (I just luv that name ^^) 3. Which physical feature of Stéphane do you like best?I can't decide between his gorgeous smile and beautiful eyes (and I guess his accent doesn't count here?) 4. Which element of his program do you like most?I can't pick only one. His step sequences are breathtaking and I love all his spins (including those in motion) and I have a thing for his 'no spin jumps' (such as the one in my ico, he does two in William Tell, or the one with a split). Yeah, and how he slides across the ice on his knee(s). But there's not one element I wouldn't like. 5. If Stéphane skates of one of his programs for your birthday, which program would you request? That's a tough one, too. I would love to see all of his programs and I really love several of them but I'd have to pick William Tell because it's the first one I saw. I totally adore it and it immediately made me notice Stéph's skill and artistry. 6. If you could give him a present for his birthday, what kind of present would you give? The most beautiful plush ladybug I could find (but I'm sure he has loads of them so I should probably re-think my choice) 7. If you were one of Stéphane's men competitors, who would you like to be?Hmm, he's spent a lot of time with Plushenko recently.. No, out of those I know, I guess Takahashi because even though he ended up not even 1 point ahead of Stéph, I liked his Gala program. But if I could I would be a new skater, one that doesn't exist now or (as a girl) myself going this way about 12 years ago. 8. If you have the chance to talk to him for 10 mins, what would you say to him?I would probably ask about his day and wish him all the best I could think of. Maybe talk about skating a little, some other sport or what he likes. (*cough* ask to become his personal assistant *cough*) ;D 9. Which gala show would you like to see him in?ALL of them. 10. If you could choose a song for his new program, what would it be?Canon Rock by JerryC, it's my favorite and I think Stéph would make it into something indescribably exceptional (I bet we all know he tends to do it). Finally, what is your message for Stéphane?I wish you the greatest luck and flawless health. I hope all your wishes will come true and that you'll always be able to do what you love most. Thank you for bringing joy into our lives. I'm eternally grateful.

3. Which physical feature of Stéphane do you like best? Hmmm, his smile
4. Which element of his program do you like most? I thoroughly enjoy his step sequences
5. If Stéphane skates of one of his programs for your birthday, which program would you request? La Traviata with an encore to Wilhelm Tell, please. I'm still under the spell of these two wonderful programs from this wonderful season
6. If you could give him a present for his birthday, what kind of present would you give? With my magical powers, I'd give him eternal health. Until I acquire those, however, I'd probably just give him something simple....maybe a good book he could read during his long flights
7. If you were one of Stéphane's men competitors, who would you like to be? Hmm, if i had to choose....probably Daisuke Takahashi, only cause he's a great artistic skater as well
8. If you have the chance to talk to him for 10 mins, what would you say to him? Hmm, I'd probably just lose my ability speak right that moment. But it's a hard question....whatever comes to mind at that moment in this situation. I'd probably just thank him
9. Which gala show would you like to see him in? I'd love to see him live at Art on Ice.
10. If you could choose a song for his new program, what would it be? He is such a diverse skater who's proved that he can skate to pretty much anything, so the choice is very wide....I can't really think of anything specific at the moment
Finally, what is your message for Stéphane? Thank you, thank you, thank you. Be happy and stay healthy!

1. When (and where) did you first see Stéphane? When I saw ’I don’t wanna be’ on tv at 2006 WC gala, I knew I had seen him before, but from then on he became my favourite 2. What do you usually call Stéphane? (for example, do you call him Stéphane, Stéph, etc)Stéphane 3. Which physical feature of Stéphane do you like best?Nothing original - his smile 4. Which element of his program do you like most? It’s not a single element - I love the way he engages his whole body (including hair ) into every movement. Even if the movement is very small, you can feel energy flowing - it is never empty 5. If Stéphane skates of one of his programs for your birthday, which program would you request?Un giorno per noi 6. If you could give him a present for his birthday, what kind of present would you give?I wish I were rich enough to give him his own skate rink, complete with any training/physical care facilities needed, so he could have his own show, school and training place to do whatever he wants to... What I nice thread! So interesting to read all your answers. Hard to come up with much else than smile and expression, so I elaborated a bit. 1. When (and where) did you first see Stéphane?I don't remember. The commentators were right away enthusiastic about his talent, so I paid attention and was curious for what he would skate. I think I already was looking out for him when I saw Chocolat, which is 2003, I believe. That's the first one I really remember. 2. What do you usually call Stéphane? (for example, do you call him Stéphane, Stéph, etc)That depends on who I'm talking to. In emails with another fan (I met her during a gala), we write SL because that saves a lot of typing, especially the accent (é) is tricky to type all the time. And we know whom we're talking about anyway :-) 3. Which physical feature of Stéphane do you like best?Like most said: can't be more original than: his smile, the totality of his appearance. 4. Which element of his program do you like most?I'm not interested in jumps, I often can't see how many times they rotate. I absolutely adore all his tiny movements and body-expressions to every detail of the music. I can watch programs over and over again and still discover new little movements that so wonderfully match the music and emotion he expresses. 5. If Stéphane skates of one of his programs for your birthday, which program would you request?Recently I was overwhelmed by the lyrics of 'La vie fait tout ce qu'elle veut' by Julie Zenatti. The only YouTubevid of that is of poor quality and doesn't show enough of him to get really captured by his interpretation. And besides that, he was perhaps a little young for the grandeur and depth of the emotions of that song. So to see him perform it now he has matured and see a better taped (or live!) version of it, would really be a wonderful birthday present. www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMIzmtfH_f86. If you could give him a present for his birthday, what kind of present would you give?Difficult to say, have to think about it and get inspired. I want it to be something that tells something about me while it's also related to something he really likes or wishes. So that the present in itself would be a real meeting of one another. 7. If you were one of Stéphane's men competitors, who would you like to be?If I would be a skater, I would want to be myself, expressing me and my emotions. How nice would it be to be able to do that. I can't skate at all, but I always told people I like to watch figure skating because I really would like to be able to make those movements myself, because it seemed to me those movements really make you feel free to glide and fly, to make everything smooth in life. And hey, that's just what Stéphane says about it. As to what other skater I like, at this moment I'd say Adam Rippon. I first saw him at the last Worlds'10 and he really caught my attention. I see in him a younger version of Stéphane, so open and fresh and trying to make every movement match the music. Check: www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOMR8evc8YA8. If you have the chance to talk to him for 10 mins, what would you say to him?Like others told here, I would probably be overwhelmed, not knowing where to begin. But a good start would be, like someone already suggested, to ask about what recently moved him or caught his attention, p.e. books, movies, dancers, musicians, so as to start of talking about what's valuable in life to him and to me. 9. Which gala show would you like to see him in?A gala nearby! Which isn't easy when you live in Holland where everybody is only interested in speed-skating (I'm too, by the way, where good at it!) and has only heard of the existence of figure skating but knowing nothing about it. So I was so thrilled about the gala he gave in April'10 in Krefeld because that was only a 1 ½ hours drive from my home and I saw him live there! But a real great gala like Art on Ice, would be great to see. 10. If you could choose a song for his new program, what would it be?I guess everybody would like to see him skate to our favourite song, because it would make such a beautiful match to the music that's dear to you and the skater who's the best interpreter. My song is: The Undiscovered by The Listening. But since it's not very well known, I would like to say I'd see him impersonate my favourite actor: let's see him being Jack Sparrow on the ice! To the beautiful music of Pirates of the Caribbean. He already practised with a whisky-pianist , so now he's up for a witty Jack Sparrow, Captain Jack Sparrow. Finally, what is your message for Stéphane?Prenez soin de votre corps, prenez soin de votre âme, nourrissez-les, de sorte que vous pourrez les partager avec tant de gens qui aiment votre art. (Take care of your body, take care of your soul, feed them, so you will remain able to share them with so many people whom you please with your art.)
