I will add here quotes from his interviews where he mentioned his work at Euros. At the Europeans in Berne you will be present as a commentator. Have you ever tried it before? No, no, actually, no. It's the first time I'm going to be a commentator, I hope I will be able to make interviews from mixed zone when they finish their programs, when athletes are high on adrenalin and the impressions are fresh. Maybe I will be able to help to feel this atmosphere, to see the athlete's satisfaction or disappointment by the skate. I will be a consultant for Swiss TV and I will work in the mixed zone. My colleagues for that week will be Pascale Blattner and Sedric Monod. Whole week, it's a lot of work. Aren't you scared?I'm not... I love new challenges. I really hope I will be good at it. source in Russiantranslation

Also this topic was discussed during the meeting with Russian fans: It was mentioned in Swiss press that you're going to be an ambassador during Europeans. We know that you will participate in press conference, and you will be a commentator. Will you have any other tasks and duties? No, I can’t say, it’s top secret. Well, I can already say that I will commentate for TSR, that's Swiss French channel. And I really hope that I can also do some interviews with the other skaters that I really know. For example, I don’t know, Nathalie and Fabian, they have good chances to win a medal. I hope I can have a small talk with them. And also Tomas and Brian, I was skating all the time with them, we were always fighting for the European title. So it would be interesting to see how they feel about being in my country and fighting against each other, without me. So I am looking forward to ask them some questions. And then for the rest you will see by yourself. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9EwJS4Nb_GU&t=1m7s

Thank you, it's really good news, it would have been so sad if Stéphane had not skated in Berne to Euros.

I am so excited that Stéphane will skate in the exhibition! Well, I have no ticket for that (only for Saturday) but I am happy for all the ones who will see him life. And of course I will follow the gala at TV! It would have been such a shame if they wouldn't have let him skate in his own country!

www.bernerzeitung.ch/sport/wintersport/Lambiel-laeuft-doch--in-Bern/story/12211672Some more details about the gala appearence: The article says that the negotiations between Swiss Ice Skating and the ISU were tough and it didn't look good in the last weeks. The reason that the ISU agreed now could be the fact that the Swiss Federation is a 100 years old and has its birthday this year. Whatever it was - thank you ISU
