And the video of the Art on Ice song: www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=92ayY62OXmI It's a bit surprising that Stephane performs better than the girl who is supposed to be a pro and lead helping him and covering the rough spots so it sounds decent. He is natural and more confident singing on stage now. But they sing so much apart and she's not listening to him which is awkward because their voices tone quite match but not the execution or performance. Two amateurs singing apart just can't be good. At this point he would better sing himself, just improve the rough places. Maybe nobody will notice and care during the show with all other effects.

Thank you elanor for your interesting reflections. I admit: I like Stephane singing for example at AOI afterparty. There he seems to forget himself and everything around him and just goes for the fun of it. I do not feel the same here. I know it is new for him, and he has a lot of courage really, so maybe with the time... Besides, the song ... seems a bit 'shallow', to my taste. ... maybe it's just because I love "Stephane the skater" so much .

To tell the truth I usually feel secondhand embarrassment when he sings. Because he is unique as a skater but rather average as a singer and, of course, me, I want him to shine on the stage same way he shines on the ice. On the other hand, the more he performs as a singer, the less I feel it now. After all, with or without skates, his strongest "weapons" are his passion, sincerity and charisma. And actually his voice has a really nice, warm tone colour. I was mainly disappointed by Larissa. Because as elanor mentioned above she was a professional one who was supposed to help Stephane, but it was the other way round in Helsinki. I hope, in two weeks, in Zurich, next try will be more successful.
