www.rozhlas.cz/zpravy/zimnisporty/_zprava/verner-s-partnerkou-pechalatovou-oslnili-pri-nebeskych-hranach--880246 For 2 days Prague will be the host of the best figure skaters in the world. Between all these olympic and world medallists, you will also find a pair you won't see on the ice together. We are talking about Tomas Verner and his French girlfriend Nathalie Pechalat. Tomas Verner was a little bit afraid to participate in the show however. The reason was the controversie in the press about his performance in North Korea. "I was afraid that people would hate me, because some people didn't really understand my opinion. When I got on the ice I was a little afraid as well, because the reception was just great." Tomas lovingly spoke about the way the audience welcomed him. They also warmingly welcomed his girlfriend Nathalie Pechalat, who on the european and world scene is perhaps more succesfull than he is, dancing with her partner Fabian Bourzat. The French pair, who is European Champion and is among the favorites for worlds, received a similar ovation. Tomas and Nathalia met eachother through figure skating and their relationships has already overcome many barriers. Just look at it: He is a Czech training in Toronto and she is French, training in Moscow. It's not ideal for a relationship."On one hand a long distance relationship is very tough, on the other hand there is something easy about it. I think it functions fabulously for us. We savour every moment together; for example when we just stand together and look at others, or when we can have breakfast together in the morning. Just usual daily things." says a satisfied Tomas Nathalie doesn't complain about their relationship either. In Prague she was able to even say a couple of Czech words like "Miluji te" (I love you) "dobry" (good) "dobry jeste vice" (very good) with which she immediatly caught the sympathy of the audience. "It's my first time in this exhibition here, but thanks to Tomas I have been to Prague 6 or 8 times already. I like Czech republic, Czech food and the Czech fans. They are great here too." says Nathalie about her boyfriends country, who impressed her the most with the Czech knedliky, which the french kitchen is missing. Then something about that Tomas searched for ice in the Czech republic to train on before worlds, but he couldn't find it, so thanks to Nathalie he can now train in Moscow in the same rink where the world championships will take place. This is of course a big advantage for him... There is more to this article but not so much about Tomas and Nathalie anymore... Just that Tomas said goodbye to the audience with the words that there will be a show like Nebeske Hrany again next year

this is my report from FSU:
I really enjoyed it as well. I actually didn't think before I'd like it this much. (I hate shows )
I think one of my highlights was defenitely the bad romance program from Johnny. We also looked behind us during his program at certain points and the reaction on the faces of people was just priceless. The audience was loud anyway though after his performance. On the saturday show he got a big bouquet of flowers, they took it from the decoration somewhere during his performance. "Every girl gets a flower, but you need something special" is what they said.
Shen/Zao were a big highlight. They got a standing O. on saturday and the people really wouldn't stop clapping and screaming. They were truly amazing. The presentator asked them in Chinese how they liked Prague and on friday Hongbo spoke in English but on saturday they both just rambled in Chinese and noone had an idea of what they were saying.
Plushenko of course was the star of the show and got a big applause as well. I wish the show organizers would just treat him like one of the others though. In the opening and closing it was like he was the centre, the king of the show. There were many more stars at the show, I'd treat them all equal.
I loved Nathalie and Fabian and every time Fabian comes out in his costume and starts to fight the crocodile I can't help but laughing. Afterwards they asked Nathalie if she could say some Czech words and she was just adorable. She knew "Miluji te, milacku" "dobry den" "jak se mas" "dobre" "moc dobre" and "nashle". Then the presentator taught her some other words... like "Dneska muzeme" wich means "Today we can"
Tomas was great too (well, what else to expect from me, anyway he can't do much wrong for me, if it wasn't for him I wouldn't even made it inside probably. He was my ticket ) he seemed a little tired to me on friday, but nevertheless some triple axels were there. He had a new exhibition to "it's not unusual" from Tom Jones. I especially like the beginning where he just sat at a table with people and pretended to drink some wine. Afterwards when the presentator started to talk to Tomas...he said he had seen Nathalie with another man who had almost no clothes on him So Tomas got mad and took off his shirt to show off his muscles. and then when Tomas said later that he would like to try one more jump, the presentator said that "and now we will see a jump on Fabian Bourzat..."
I also really liked it to see the upcoming talents of the Czech republic. We even enjoyed the synchro girls. I normally think synchro is rather boring
On saturday they also had this fashion show going on. It was rather lame, I didn't watch.
