I had lucky that I have now spring vacation so I could see this year the Stockholm Ice. Stéphane did in the 1st part Don't Stop the Music and in the 2nd part Rigoletto. I saw both programs many times but todays Rigoletto with live singer was so fantastic. The tenor was good, he took time so Stéphane had more time to express. It was so nice to meet friends but also meet the new faces. So I had nice time with them after the show. Thank you to all friends! P.S. Stéphane did in the finale a quad.

Hey guys, seems I'm only writing on here when Steph comes to skate in my Bucharest So. This Saturday i went to see Kings on ice and it was a f.a.n.t.a.s.t.i.c. experience. I'm still bouncing on the inside I'm emotionally drained, so I can't really write a proper *review*, but I'll try my best to cover all the important things. 1. I actually met him!! [insert here some millions of smiley faces]. Okay, of course it was only for some short moments, but it still meant a hell of a lot to me So, let's go back to the start. From the second I found out about the show, I kept thinking and talking about how much I'd like to actually meet him, maybe get an autograph and take a pic. I've been hearing fans talking about trying to wait for the skaters outside the rink, after the rehearsals, but up until the last moment I wasn't sure I had the guts to join in. But I did, thinking that this could very much be my last chance to do so. I bought him a little present and went to the rink at about 12.30 p.m.. The skaters were rehearsing, but we weren't allowed to enter the arena. So we waited. And waited. And waited. Plushenko got out at some point, to take a walk, and he signed autographs for us and took pictures. After then there was more waiting. At about 3, when the first show of the day (there were two shows in Bucharest and I had tickets for the one that started at 8 p.m), I left. I was disappointed, not only because I couldn't meet Steph, but also because during my wait I had heard many stories from my fellow fans, not really flattering towards Steph and his relationship with the fans. I've been told that day that he doesn't really like to talk to fans and that he will most likely ignore us. I got back to the rink at about 6.30. I was getting all excited about the show, but I also still hoped that I wouldn't return home with the gift I had prepared for Steph And all my positive thoughts worked! At about 7, he got out the rink and met us (we were around 10-15 fans waiting in front of the skaters' exit). Gotta say, in real life he is amazingly beautiful. No kidding. Also, he is very tiny I went to him and gave him my little present and he was all like "wow, thank you" and bended over to kiss me on the cheeks. I freaking died, may God bless my soul ;D He also signed me an autograph and took a picture with me. I start grinning like an idiot every time I remember those moments. Though he seemed a bit tired, he was very warm and patient. He said something like "it's good that you guys are so happy" . Me: "We hope you're happy too" [stuuuuuuuuupid thing to say, but I still couldn't believe I was like talking to him. lame fangirl is lame]. Him: "Well, I'm happy you're happy." And then there were those tiny little gestures he made that pretty much showed what a kind and awesome person he is. Like when he was taking a pic with some fan and the girl holding the camera dind't actually press the button properly to take the photo, but was too excited to realise and turned off the camera. But Steph was like "No, you didn't take the photo. Please, try again!". He was really awesome and I was so freaking proud to be his fan! 2. The show itself was really good and the crowd was really excited about Steph. Have to say I'm not that much into Marton and I was kinda disappointed that he didn't skate Please don't stop the music instead of the Marton thing. But it still was a nice program. BUT! Rigoletto was fantastic, it was a treat seeing that routine live! He's fantastic! He was so into it, so into the music! The crowd loved it and for many it was the highlight of the entire show. I've heard Plushenko fans talking about how the best moment was, for them, Steph's Rigoletto. It really was special! His movements are so natural and expressive, he is in a class of his own... So. To sum up: Steph is amazing, on and off the ice.

estephania, pianomaya and whateverhime - thank you so much for your wonderful reports and impressions about the shows . And thanks to everyone who posted links to videos and other things . I was disappointed, not only because I couldn't meet Steph, but also because during my wait I had heard many stories from my fellow fans, not really flattering towards Steph and his relationship with the fans. I've been told that day that he doesn't really like to talk to fans and that he will most likely ignore us. It's sad that some fans think like that about Stephane and are telling such things to other people, especially because it's not quite true, as you later saw for yourself. Sadly, I myself have never met him, or even seen him live, as I live in Latvia, quite far from all the shows, and I am not able to go to them. But I've read so many stories from other fans about Stephane, and, although I am not russian, I am a member of 'lambiel_ru' (a kind of russian fanclub) - and fans from that fanclub meet Stephane quite often. So I know quite a lot about Stephane and his attitude towards fans. I'll try to explain it the best I can. The members of 'lambiel.ru' have organized several fan meetings with Stephane during the few last years, and although at one or two occasions he had his doubts about it, in the end he's never said "no". And even if he didn't like something during those meetings, he has never shown it and has always been very kind and attentive - as it can be seen in the videos from those meetings. Then there's this 'Matreshka' project/tradition that they are doing (fans who go to shows meet Stephane and take a photo with him holding the previous 'Matreshka' photo in his hands - he himself said that it was like matreshka sometime in the beginning of this project. Then, after a year or so they make a book with all those photos + with other photos from each event and the place where it happened + little stories). Again, Stephane has never said "no" to fans who want to photograph him for the 'Matreshka'. But Stephane has also said that he doesn't like it when fans meet him at the airport, because then he's so tired from the long flight - often from one time zone to the other, and he feels that he has nothing (or very little) to give to fans at such moments. And I think it's pretty much the same with fans waiting for him after the shows - sometimes he has very little time, or no time at all, often he is very tired, or not in good mood. If he has enough time, is not extremly tired and is in good mood, he stops and gives his full attention to fans. But if he has little time and is very tired, or in a bad mood, he'd rather not stop at all, than give them some superficial "attention" - at least it's how I see it. But, unfortunately, it's so easy to misunderstand such things. Of course, Stephane is not ideal - his mood tends to change very often. It's because he is so emotional and sensitive (like many artists that even little things can change his mood in this or that direction. So, yes, if he is not in the mood, he probably can ignore people. But that doesn't happen so often. I am glad that you understood that he's not that terrible towards his fans at all . It's great to know about that. Especially about those Plushenko fans - I don't think that it's so often when they like someone's performance even more than their idol's . It's as if we liked someone more than Stephane at some show.

It's sad that some fans think like that about Stephane and are telling such things to other people, especially because it's not quite true, as you later saw for yourself. Thank you for your nice post and stories You're right, it's very easy to jump to the wrong conclusion, especially when it's about somebody you don't really know. Stephane is a person who inspires me beyond his skating (if that makes sense) and I'm more than happy that he is as nice as I imagined. Of course, this may well be foolish of me, as Steph is a flesh-and-bones person and shouldn't be constrained to be perfect just to live up to the fantasy of some fangirl But the way he behaved in those few minutes I saw him was top class. He seemed genuinely nice and warm and not for one second did he come across as arrogant or annoyed. And by that he gave me a wonderful memory I will always cherish

whateverhime: I was really laughing when I was reading your report because... it remind me of mine behavior when I met Steph for the first 2 times (first time I couldn't say a word cause I was so AH and OH and I only waved a pen almost in front of his eyes, second time I was talking in my native language nobody could understand but ....I noticed it after watching a short movie taken by my friend 2 days later:D and finally, for the third time, when I met not Steph but Johnny Weir last year in Prague, I could normally think in English and say something normal :D
So.. keep going to shows:)
And I don't belive that he was being rude whenever. I've watched a lot of flms on YT, read a lot of posts on different forums and saw him for a few times and didn't find any tiny trace about being inpolite. But we have to remeber that everyone has to right to some private life and I belive not every fan deals with it.
Watching all the videos from Bucharest it seems to be a fantastic energy and atmosphere during the show, am I right? There has to be a lot of FS fans up there.
About Stockholm Ice: Ericcsson Globe was quite empty (comparing to last year) so let's hope next year there will be the show again.
Rigoletto with live music is really brilliant.

Nice to see new Stephane's performance (if I'm right) ;D He combines many elements on his older performances there, really good idea - maybe watching his old videos during the interview motivated him to do it..? He may had only short time to create it, but I think he did a perfect job I saw all versions of it and always found new interesting details - arm movements, music-movements harmony,... and the END, nobody can doubt his art!! He is able to adapt himself to other skaters and be unique indeed.. I like his empathy.. dear aleachim! If you refer to the videos from Bucharest, this program is called Magic Stradivarius and is about 10 years old, but Stephane comes back to it from time to time to my great delight I didn't like the first performances of this program very much, but the perfrmance at the 2009 Kings on Ice in Milan was so much more expressive, with so many new moves that I fell in love with this program. Here is that video, I am sure you'll enjoy it www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycRzieCh2R8&list=PL5C2486DB6B99727E&index=25&feature=plpp_video

Yes, the atmosphere at KoI Bucharest has always been amazing and gotta say I'm kinda proud of all the love my fellow Romanians have shown the skaters every times they came here. :) I guess that's one of the reasons they (the skaters) keep coming back 8-) But I also have to say that I've always been surprised by all this kind-of-hype that surrounds Kings on Ice in Romania, as figure skating isn't really what you'd call a *big sport* in our country (i.e. I know veeeeery few people in real life who share my love for figure skating). But I guess there really are *hidden* fs fans in Romania and yeah, I'm really happy about it :)
