On lambiel-ru natasha ( :-*thank you!! ) posted a video from Stephane from Kings on ice 2012 Bucharest - Lambiel practice - and I am amazed! Stephane is improvising (?) to Air from Bach, and it is faszinating. Actually it seems he is not improvising, it looks as if it was trained. Probabely a future new program from Stephane? I would be thrilled. Years ago Klimova/Ponomarenko had a wonderful performance to this music, and lately Carolina Kostner skated to it too. Several times I thought I would like to see what it would look like if Stephane did it one day. Does anybody know more about it?

I think you are right, reut: he is improvising to Air from Bach. But what fluidity this small part has! I would love to actually see him performing the whole piece

Just been watching DSTM from Stockholm Ice and I totally love it. He is like liquid on the ice and yet it is very elaborate. A true "virtuoso" on ice.

It's a two and a half hour drive to the nearest cinema that shows Opera on Ice (it is showing in Sheffield) - should i go?

Thank you, anna and digitus quintus. I am looking forward to Opera on ice in september and hopefully will be able to go to Verona. Stephane and Plush, great! Hopefully both of them will be in good health and physical condition by then!
Kayin, in my opinion it is worth it to go. Of course, on screen the live-athmoshphere (which was marvellous) can not really be transitted, but still ... I saw it on TV at christmas and liked it. So, if you go: enjoy!

thank you so much, digitus quintus! I really hope that his health will be ok and he will come to Verona. I was there last year and it was the greatest show I've seen in my life so I'm definitely going this year, too!
